chances of sprouting ??

so i put 5 cheese seeds in cup of water for 24 hours lat friday tooke them out on the sat put them in jiffy pellets in a dark humid place now almost 6 days later none of them have popped up, so is there much of a chance of them popping up or will they probably be fucked?

i once had an issue with some seeds that took almost 21/2 weeks to finally pop.

i used to do the water bath thing but am a huge fan of the paper towel method. put seeds in a folded wet paper towel covere with a plate (as well as a plate on bottom) and a few days later all have liittle sprouts. then plant em in whatever medium of your liking

Is it good and warm around the seeds? I've had some that did not pop till I put them right next to the MH bulb for the day. They were about a week old in paper towels at that point.

ye there in the cupboard next to my boiler, temps are 20 degrees celcius, this is where i usually store them, last time i had them there thru the nite then on the windowsill thru the day but with it being winter it b cold at the window, few ppl sayijng put them under light but guy at growstore says theres no point in light unless u seem sum green

the water bath method can potentially leave you wishing you had just put them in a paper towel. especially if they are high dollar fem seeds!!

Yeah lights mostly important as soon as they come above your medium. I on the other hand DO leave light on. As for keeping the seeds warm, I place a wash cloth on top of my modem then the plate on to that. 4 days max is te longest it's taken to sprout

iv always done the 24 hour water method and its worked fine up til now i got impatient couple days back and dug a seed up n saw a root and now 2 days later the root aint got any bigger
