Hey guys, i just changed from regular tap water to RO water.
My ppm used to be 320 without anything, now its at like 10 haha =)

Lets say my ppm was at 800 with my tap water id only add X amount of nutes.

But now i got my ppm at 10, to get my ppm to 800 i have to add ALOT more nutes.

Is this correct? or because im using lower ppm water i should add less nutes? and have a lower ppm then i used to?

Thanks guy

Thanks sublimed
So if the ppm was good then i should keep it at the same ppm and adding more nutes will be ok?

if ur water was 350PPM and u added nutes to 800 that means u need to add 450PPM(maybe a lil more like 500-550) worth nutes in ur RO Water

I have no good advice but I just bought a meter to start checking this out myself. I personally switch from tap water to R/O and still used 1/4 strength nutrients but I am interested to have a pro lay some knowledge on us.

My water has a ppm of 400 on average of which only half will be of any use, so I start with 200ppm and add nutes to make up to the desired amount. This was advised to me by the largest hydro shop in the UK who have consulted water board analysts to gain the info themselves.
