Changing light source during flowering?

My plants are currently in the flowering and i just ordered HPS lighting. My question is this...
Is there a chance that changing my light source from CPF to HPS will cause my plants to go back to vegetative state due to the increase in light output?
It goes with out saying that i wouldn't be changing the light/dark cycle.

I have never heard of that happening as long as the time period/cycle is not changed back to a veg time period/cycle. Maybe someone else has heard or read something different but from all I have read or heard to your plants it should just be like they have been living in very cloudy/shady conditions and now will get lots more sun and take off like a rocket.

They will do much better under the HPS, without worries of the plant returning to a vegetative state.
