Cheap LEDS!!!

Final Phase

get the ones thry offer that are highest in lumens. They will work - read up on LED's... Lots of information here in the forums...

If you can get the bulb off and leave the LED intact they will put out a lot more lumens.... Watch out of electric shock - keep all lines 100% free from water.

On my phone but if you google 'store bulbs icmag' and click on the top result you will find a brilliant thread comparing output of various led bulbs, and also nearer the middle and end at least 2 people posting results / diaries of their grows with them.
One of the growers (blynx) got 60g from 1 plant with just 6 x 10w bulbs, so 1g per watt. Cobs could probably do better, but lightbulbs are cheap and fairly easy to setup. Much better results than CFL's by the looks of it, using the same setups.

Bought some GE LED 11w daylight bulbs. Using them for about a month now. Used CFLs before hand... Honestly couldn't be happier about them. Buy some and check them out. The growth is faster and more robust with the LED bulbs. Only vegging right now, but will flip soon. Buy some and make an opinion for yourself. Too many people on this site think they know more than the next guy. Do what works for you and make it happen.

hi.....i did the LED twist bulb thing like you are considering......but i used it as an enhancement to existing overhead lights......(meaning i dropped it down on a 2 socket cord to help give more light to certain branches under the canopy......my plants were about 30" wide........it worked ok, but like brian oconner says....some t5's would be instantly available and be done in two shakes........

I got 8 bulbs at Walmart for like $10. Already had sockets and splitters from previous purchases. For someone on a budget, space limitations, energy usage... These work. I've never had the space for a t5 fixture, nor the desire to fix what's not broken. There is always more than one way to do things. Whats good for others my not be for me, or vice versa.

Haters will hate and know-it-alls know everything. Cannabis thrives. Period.

so when you flip to 12/12....do you use the same bulbs...or do you change to different watts/lumens

I'll probably use them for flower, too. But I'll introduce other lighting in the red direction.
