I feel like a $2000 water chiller is an overkill in my situation, but I want to keep the water in the 60F range. Would something like this do the trick:

If not, any other solution?

For that price there’s better options for sure. A 1/2hp chiller and insulate the tank would prob work, I don’t know about a 1/4hp, think they are rated for 80gal. That under sink one wouldn’t be a option for me. Cheap I don’t know, something like this will do 140ish gallons in a grow condition easy so storage I would think it could do more. Anyways... not that one.. these are $5-600usd ish...

I run the 1/4hp on 70 gallons no insulation with a 1k hid, its set to 61, my sites are 64, half the time I check it, it’s not running. If that helps.

hes gonna need a 1 hp
@J232 read before u give answers like this....
Yeah but he’s using it on a storage tank. Why spend twice as much if you can insulate and circulate. The idea was to get him away for a under sink drink cooler. What advice did you offer him?

still u don't wanna undersize its 250 gallons of water. that itself can lose cooling to the room etc. if he doesn't have the tank insulated good luck with the half hp only way I can see it being done .1000 liters is a lot of area for water to absorb heat.

it really depends idk how much power hes drawing or how hot its in the room to run the water.

Whatever, I’m out. Check out that site op, good coolers in all sizes. Send them a email and see if they have a economical solution or something like that anyways.
