CFLs will work for Veg, but are not recommended for Flower because of a low light output. They also are good for using a small space because the heat output is a lot less then HPS.

A lot of people use CFLs for Vegging and HPS later for Flower (But you want to move it outside) so CFLs for Vegging then move it outside.

Some nice pot mix, with good PH level. A cabinet with good ventilation to keep temps right would also help for indoor growing.

i want to know how to make strong healthy plants in and outdoors..but i wanted to know the absolout best way to do it indoors with flourescents or cfl's or LED's...i want to hear from people who have more exp. than me with them.

i dont argue that the sun is the best source of light though..

the best way to do it indoors in not to use fluoros cfl's or led's...get a real light if you wanna grow good quality pot. it is absolutely necessary

I said, exactly how to, you can veg outdoors if light cycle is right. 18/6 for veg is the light cycle and 12/12 for flower.

HPS (High Pressure Sodium) and MH (Metal Hallide) are the two lights you should be using MH for veg is the best and HPS for flower but if you cant afford or dont have the space.

You can use CFLs get like 1 x 48W (6500*k) and like 4 x 28W (6500*k) and like 1 20W (2700*k) build a cabinet and place plant in middle with all those lights scattered around it on a 18/6 cycle and it will veg. (You can use whatever like combination you like and however many lights you want just make you Kelvin Rating is right) 6500*k or high rating is for veg and lower red spectrum 3000*k or lower helps flower.

Or go get a 400W MH and veg under that... That would be the best.
