Check out my girls! 400w HPS, Week 3 Flower.

It has been about 5 years since my last grow and I must say its like riding a bike! Here we are on day 23 since the flip and I am pretty happy with the current progress. I have had a few hiccups along the way and have had to basically reteach myself a ton but I think the outcome is going to surpass my initial expectations.

I am creating this thread for any insight and tips you all might have as well as for a place to ask questions or seek advice if any problems might occur.

Specs are pretty basic... The strains are 2 White Widow x Big Buds and 1 Money Maker, nothing special with soil (50-50 MG/Perlite), Jacks classic nutes, and of curse 400w HPS lighting. Used CFLs for veg (1 monthish, I didnt keep track).

LSTed quite a bit + topped two, left one alone (Trying to see what I like best).

Looking good. So, I gots to ask.. I seen you was running Jacks? Does it run hot? Reason I'm asking is cause I seen on the bottoms of your girls leaves are kinda burnt. Are you using calmag along side of the Jacks? What are your dosages of the Jacks? Also are you using it all the way through bloom, or are you goin switch over to the bloom line of Jacks? Been thinking allot about using that line myself. Just can't get a straight answer as to the feeding schedule... I have heard to use calmag with it though, being it doesn't have much calcium in it.

As I said, this is my first grow in 5 years and I didn't have very many under my belt back then but Jacks has done well for me. I don't believe its burnt them, I'm pretty sure what you are seeing is the yellowing/dead leaves from a nitrogen deficiency I had before transplanting into bigger pots, as I said I've have quite a few hiccups. Things are much better now. As for schedule, I give between 1/4 tspn(recommended) to 1/2 tspn/gallon every watering and it has done the job. I am using Jacks Blossom Booster and I do use it all the way through bloom up until the last 2 weeks then it'll be just straight water and molasses.

Based on a poster here I bought Jack's Blossom Booster 10-30-20 for flower. Is this what you use? I am looking forward to getting it to blow up the buds.

I was checking on Big Bud but it is expensive.

No need to get pissy bro. I was just asking a question. Can't really tell by the pictures posted, that's why I had said it looked as if they where kinda burnt. Couldn't really tell. Although I know Jacks runs kinda high on the npk ratios, that is why I was wondering as to the schedule. Thanks 4 tht bit of info on that note. Best of luck to you on your journey. Peace

Haha Sorry if I sounded pissy, I did not intend to come off that way! I guess that is the power of online communication... :eyesmoke:I fully respect your question and understand how the two may seem that way and was only explaining why. Thanks for the feedback, honestly. ;-):joint:

Yup, that would be it. I'm a simple man... And I only grow for personal use so I don't feel the need to make things too complicated. Jacks lines have brought me good things in the past :-).

As for expense, wwXbb is actually on the cheaper side, from what I remember, as far as fems go. I got them from Herbies.

It's all good bro, yeah it's hard to tell with texting & stuff. Stuff said sometimes sounds different then the actual way a person's attends for it to. Completely understand. No hard feelings.

Back on the topic at hand. Do you think Jacks could be used for a hydro feed?

I don't see why not, it is water soluble and dissolves instantly. I can't speak on it any further than that seeing as I have no experience in hydro... too much work for me lol! Good luck to ya!

Very nice!

I've got two widows week 6 veg. I'm ordering in a new 600 watt HPS on Monday, so I'm waiting until I get it in before I go flower.

Not the best pics, I know, but I woke up wanting to post an update and these are the best I got from my camera. Sorry for the quality but you can see some progress. I am really impressed with the WWxBB, they are swelling up nicely!:bigjoint: The main top on one is around a foot long. The Money Maker is looking and smelling much danker, buds are only about half the size though. I'll get some better pics up soon, these will have to do until then. Last two are the Money Maker.UNKNOWN 9916 074.jpg UNKNOWN 9916 076.jpg UNKNOWN 9916 075.jpg UNKNOWN 9916 077.jpg UNKNOWN 9916 078.jpg UNKNOWN 9916 079.jpg

looking little burnt there I think , laef tips , cupping , bit claw
Nute burn or light? I believe the cupping is from heat stress. It gets very close to 90 at times but other than the cupping it doesn't seem to affect them much... I'm in the process of switching my lighting schedule from on during the day to night so that should help a ton.

Here are some better pictures I snapped today. I had to stake one of the WWxBB today, she was falling over! Cant wait to see what this 400w produces overall! :hump::weed:

Second thumbnail is the MoneyMaker.
