Pretty awesome, man. I like some of the coloration going on around the center object.

On that note... just how does one make marbles anyways?

Damn fdd what dont you do.
We have a marble maker here in my town.
He makes copies of expensive rare marbles and sells them for good $$$.
Did you notice they are making a huge come back with kids.

video was quite entertaining, music was nice, but it did leave me with just one more question. After the marble itself is completed and is still attached to a piece of glass, how do you remove that final cylindrical piece without there being any rough edges to the marble itself? Do you just saw that last part off and finely sand down the remaining glass nub, or is the video not showing us that final crucial step for some other reason?

thanks also for your prompt answer before.

when you heat just the small thin rod and attach it to the colder marble it is called a "cold seal". only the rod has fluid glass so it sticks to the marble. when you want to remove it you set the marble onto the table or what not, i use a mold, then you lightly tap the small rod near where it attaches to the marble. it breaks right off. it will leave a slight "scar where it was attached. if you hold this area to the flame it melts away smooth.

awesome work, you still amaze me. its funny how in your other thread you were talking about how you didn't consider your work a piece of art but now you do

That first marble is crazy, read through your thread but guess I missed that one. Have you kept all of the marbles youve made? Or are those for sale as well?
