Checking trichomes

When you check your trich do you look at every bud on the plant,or should i just go with checking the top cola for 75% amber?

you can harvest the tops first and let the bottom mature more, but you got a good plan if you let it go to 75% amber on tops the whole plan should be done.. everything should have slight to heavy amber to on the plant has a whole
