Cheese Smell And Taste -- Is This Right?

So...harvested the lower part of my cheese plants. Lower parts were done. After 5 days or drying, buds are almost crispy. A buddy of mine asked for a tester and said it smells pungent (does smell nice)...but my buddy says bud has a sort of earthy taste. My question is...

Does it need a longer drying time and a good cure to bring out a better taste?

So you didn't do a cure and your asking if it will improve taste.......that would be a unanimous yes.....the cure is perhaps equally important as the grow itself. It can make or break your bud, nobody wants to smoke veggies. Even if its not bad it won't take on its full robust aroma and flavor till you cure.......many threads about it. Basically throw em in a jar and leave em in there, too wet they mold so keep it right above to wet to burn in a joint. Or get a humidipak or hygrometer shoot for 60-65% in the jar and let em sit for a couple months

Thanks qwizoking. This is my first grow and didn't really want to let anyone test it until after cure. Was thinking the earthy taste was due to not giving it the full 10-day to 2 week dry and then giving it a good cure. So your reply has certainly confirmed my thoughts. Thanks a lot. :-)
