"The writing is on the wall. The Democratic base is hugely excited -- largely due to their distaste for Trump. The Republican base -- at least for most of 2017 -- has been less passionate. And that sort of base enthusiasm disparity has translated -- and likely will continue to translate -- into major gains for Democrats in the midterms."

Distaste for Trump is not enthusiasm for Democrats. That's the same thing we told you about Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, which is why she lost.. Trump is so shitty, even a shitty Democrat will beat him. This is nothing to be proud of. It leads to the same kind of cycle of cynicism that led to Trump being elected in the first place.

And you're very confused if you think only one JD has won their election. Check the record again. The difference is JD's win because they actually represent their constituents instead of the monied interests who fund their campaigns.
JD/s won state offices in any significant number? I poked around and if there is a wave of Sanders supporters winning, or Justice Democrats, or Sanders' own "Our Revolution", nobody is bragging about it.

34 seats flipped from Republican to Democrat.

I only know of two Justice Democrats in that crowd. None from Our Revolution. Take a look and you'll see. Maybe there are more. From what I can tell, it's crickets about Sanders movement scoring huge wins. There is not much reporting of success at all in the form candidates from those groups winning state seats. Post a link and prove me wrong.

I think you are misinformed.
