The government is actually part of the lower class, they are just the leaders in our democracy delusion. the "Elites" are the CEOs, bankers and have more respect and power in America than some idiot politicians will ever have. The politicians and their party's are all self centered, so their selfishness get's promoted in order to make/keep the people voting for them selfish. Some politicians, like Obama really do believe in their ability to change their country but they realize who is in control pretty fast.
