This cherry kush plant is going to be the death of me. I received this plant as a 2 month old clone from a friend and it was a bit small for my liking to start flowering so I vegged her an additional month. She's starting week 7 of flower tomorrow, so she's kinda getting a little old lol. She had root problems from the beginning, I believe a possible case of elephant foot...but anyway...the buds seem to be forming nicely although they seem a bit small...how does she look to you guys? The fan leaves started quickly dying off about a week ago, might be because she's old and supposed to be close to finish, but I suspect the plant is sucking nutrients from the leaves because its roots are shit. Here's some pics, let me know what ya think. In a 4x4 tent with a kind k3 l600 light, happy frog soil, just watered 4 days ago with 250ppm cal mag and 200ppm bloom nutrients.

Maybe she'd prefer a white light source? Also if there's any cherry pie in her, she's going to be a slow runt, at least that's what my experiences with cherry pie crosses were. Delicious weed though and if I still had any of them I'd definitely keep them.

Not sure about the light source as she has exhibited the same issues since I got her and I started her under my 8 bulb 2 foot t5 light in the veg tent and always has had these problems. The genetics of cherry kush are purple afghani and og kush if I'm not mistaken. She smells amazing but like you said she's slow but she's managed to stretch like crazy during the first 2 weeks of flower. I really have a hard time believing it's the light though, never had issues with the light before, but this is my first time dealing with this strain.

Looks like its drooping from over/under watering
I've been very careful to avoid this, this plant does have a really crap root system so maybe that's causing it to do that? Idk but it takes forever to dry out the soil...I have good air movement, I just think its roots are shit. A lot of them are bunched up toward the base in a thick tangle, something I've heard referred to as "elephant foot disease"...

I was wondering that as well...I was maybe too careful with her and only fed every three waterings as I didn't want nute burn or anything like that...I hate smoking bud that's been overfed and maybe I went too extreme lol. She's never had more than 500ppm of nutes and close to half of that is usually cal mag due to purpling issues (I use RO water). Unfortunately this is the last cut I have of cherry kush so I can't try again with her but I've got a cin-x, Tahoe og, and 4 Samoa kush going, the Samoa kush is the one I really want to master as I bought a pack of seeds of that one. This plant has been really weird though and next time I water I'll get a pic of the exposed retarded roots at the base of the stem...they're all big n fat and not many signs of root hairs or general health at all lol. My other plants that I started are looking good though, here's the Samoa kush and 3 babies I just popped

I couldn't take any clones off this cherry kush, I tried and none rooted, the plant was way too unhealthy when I got it. Those babies are from seed, a completely different strain, Samoa kush which is platinum gsc and bubba og. And to be 100% honest, I'm not really big about the hype of different nutrient companies. If you look at the table of elements, there are no brand names on any of the elements. It's all the same stuff, just different ratios but barely. What does she look like she's asking for nutrient wise in your opinion and why would those nutes be better than what I'm using (botanicare cal mag, grow, and bloom, obviously not grow and bloom at the same time)
