IMG_2147.JPG IMG_2146.JPG The unit arrived today from ChilLed! First impressions starting with packaging.

Fiberglass reinforced packing tape

Extremely well packed! Custom packaging for this unit, yet was still able to include a controller and a cat5E cable.

The unit is very cold so I am going to let it get to room temp and I will continue the unboxing process! Stay tuned...

So I got excited and hung that bad boy up! I will go snap some pictures so you all can see. Its in a growlab GL80L tent. So its basically a 30"x5' area. The light falls a bit shy to fit this at 40" long, but i have a heater on one side, and yada yada, so the footprint is ideal!
It has great even coverage at a fair distance of 12-18" very nice even light flooding the canopy area.
I will be using this light for vegging this round, and flowering another, stay tuned to my grow log for that!

First impressions are this is a very solid unit, very well packed, and I feel confident it will outperform all the other LED tech I have on hand!

This unit is legit guys!

I have had it at like almost 36" from my canopy and I am going to drop it down closer soon, but even at that height I am getting great footprint the plants don't seem to be stretching like they were wanting more.

All in all I am very impressed. I know that's an initial opinion, but time will tell... and yes this may not be for everybody but I am an LED freak and this is my passion!

Peace and Love y'all!

It'll give you great results. I'm guessing a little. More than an LB depending on your plant count and veg time.

It produces the same efficiency as the California light works solar system 550. But your light pushes 50 more watts so you'll get a little more light. Are you gonna run a 3'x4' footprint?

Thanks for the comparison info!

My tent is about 30" deep and 5' king it fills it pretty well minus probably a foot on one end where I have a heater. So more like 2X4' is what I am going to be shooting for, but I have yet to place the light as low as 18" from the canopy and looked at the coverage. It has amazingly even coverage at 12" or maybe a bit less. I have a shitty footcandle meter but it gives me an idea compared to other lights and gives me a good idea of even spread.

You should be able to cover more area. You have the wattage. It has lenses so not sure but I'd imagine you'll get some bleaching on your top buds at 12". I'd veg plants until they cover 3x4 and then go to 12/12 for flower. Also I don't know if you have the controller but for vegging you can knock the red down to 30% and keep the blue and white at full power. That's if you want to save a dollar in electricity. Red generally causes stretch and isn't needed until flower.

You'll kill it this grow.

Thanks man! I am super excited! I had issues when it was super cold the last few months and lost many seedlings and a few clones, but we have it dialed in now and I feel good about it!
I do have the controller actually! Good call! I am all about saving money! I have a kill-a-watt meter coming so I can measure what it pulls from the wall, and I can do some numbers on how much it actually amounts to, to leave out the red and whatnot.

But yeah man! I am fucking stoked! Thank you for your responses! I'd love to have you sub to my actual grow thread. I think it's in my sig. I am going to keep this thread short as to the initial impressions and perhaps a grow or two into it I can post a final decree.

See ya there!

Nice light and setup, look forward to the outcome!
What kind of yields does Satori generally produce for you and in what training method?
Any tips on that strain? I have a pack in route :D

I've only grown it out once and didn't get any metrics on the grow so I'm not sure on that. But time will tell sooner or later what comes of it! I love mandala seeds!!!
