Chillivape's First Stealth Grow - Computer Desk

Hello, this is my first attempt at a micro/stealth grow. I was sitting at my desk trying to decide how the heck am I going to build a good stealth PC grow. I was staring at the ground thinking and I saw the little PC space of the computer where you keep the computer in. I decided to get a piece of finished wood and make a door and cover the back area. I'm going to finish it with Mylar foil and a homemade carbon filter.

I have 3 CFL bulbs on the power strip if I put a fourth bulb in, 2 of the bulbs will touch. I'm just wondering if it is okay to let the bulbs touch? I also will drill in a roll of screws to adjust the mount of the power bar higher or lower.

Strains:
- Afghani #1
- Vanilla Kush Feminized

Nutrients:
-General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow
-General Hydroponics FloraNova Bloom

Soil: -Shultz Potting Soil Plus & Shultz Perlite

light needs to be closer or its gonna stretch

this,

prop those little ones up so they are 2-3 inches from the bulbs.

also, you can either remove the bulbs on each end and center the one light over the two pots propped up

or you can remove the middle once and have each little one under a bulb

your choice, either will work

you can use 1 bulb for a couple weeks at least if you care about wasting power.

Yeah you definately want to get that baby closer to the light, Some reflective in there would be good. I really like this idea and might play around with it myself (in the very distant future)
Will love to see how this turns out!

Alright I drilled a bunch of screws in to make the power bar adjust the height as the plant grows. The Afghani #1 doesn't look so good but it's in a new environment. It took 3 weeks to sprout like that and the new Vanilla Kush sprouted and it only took 1 day lol.

3 weeks!? man with that new pic up close that thing aint looking so good...if you have any other seeds you may wanna get rid of that one. that one should be a nice size by now.
look at my current micro those are 3 weeks a few days ago.
you dont really wanna be dealing with sickly plants from the start. esp if you only doing a couple

since the other is only a few days old just pop a new one if you got it.

nice idea with the desk bro. I dont see any vent holes with fans though.. do you have any?

you need some sort of circulation in there.. one fan pushing air out on top of the box cause hot air rises. and a passive intake holes or an intake fan at the bottom to get some freah air inside. I would add another fan inside the box blowing air on the plant and moving the air around. also get a thermometer/hygrometer in there to see what you're dealing with and act accordingly. you should look around the forum, lots of info about keeping your grow space cool and fresh.

So I got a thermometer and to 120mm Coolmaster fans in there and the top is for exhaust and bottom fan is for intake. Without the fans it was 31 Celsius (87.8 Fahrenheit) in there, with the fans it is now 27-29 Celsius (80.6-84.2 Fahrenheit). The Mylar came in the mail today and I don't know if I should add any more 6500k CFL's or add the Mylar or keep it generic white?
Alright its been a week since I germinated the Vanilla Kush it seems to be doing fine but now its starting to get yellow tips.
The Afghani's bad leaves looks like its falling off but ever since its been in the new environment with proper circulation and lights its starting to grow fresh set of leaves, no idea if I should kill it and let it grow?
I've been using Shultz Potting Soil Plus and I don't know if its nute burn from the soil for the Vanilla Kush or lack of nutrients. If so I'm out of luck since my nutrients I ordered still hasn't come in yet.

those are wayy to small to be even thinking about nutrients yet..the reason they are still so small is most likely because of two reasons.
1.. its too hot in there for the little seedlings..plants are probably going threw some heat stress..
2.. also could be because you dident have fans running for the first few weeks.. need constant fresh air circulation ,,
your soil could also be a reason as to why they are growing so slow...as for the mylar, you can install it around the inside if you want, but those walls are flat white so they are already reflecting light to the plants.dont really need to add mylar at this point.. (mylar and white walls do basically the same job- reflect light.). i suggest saving the mylar until you get the hang of growing a little bit more.. maybe you will think of a new design for a new grow box and that shit will come in handy.. lookin good so far though just watch those temps try not to let it rise past 85 degrees
