Currently in the process of germinating the seeds. Been wanting these for awhile and finally came across seeds.
Anyone have any advice on caring for them?

Ive grown them a couple times, I got the seeds off the rack at a garden center. Theyre really easy to get going, I think I started them with a seed starting mix indoors in coco pots and then transplanted into larger pots outside once they were established. I didnt do anything special with them, used a pretty good potting soil and an all purpose fertilizer midsummer..tons of blooms.

Seems fairly easy. Did you ever dry them out? I've also been trying to find rose hips, none of the greenhouses in a 50 mile radius sell them here.

No, I didnt dry them. Ive never grown rose hips, recognize the name from vitamin supplements though. If there is anything I want to grow that isnt available locally I usually just check around the net. Theres tons of seed distributors and online nurseries.

Actually I just looked up rose hips, it says it's the fruit from roses that comes after successful pollination, so I guess it would be rose bushes that youre looking for?

I don't think they are technical rose hips.
My grandmother used to grow what I am talking about and that is what she called them.
I wish I knew what their real name was, I can remember what they look like and they are not real rose hips though.

Yeah..plants can be known as many names that vary regionally, it can make it tough sometimes to pinpoint. Theres a website call davesgarden that I like that has lots of info on different plants, probably one of the best databases online.
