I'd like to grow for next season, together with Sannies Extrema and Santa Maria + mr.Nice seeds shit and Angels Heart, one of the TGA strains. Never tried before, I'm hearing such a good things about their strains also I'm hearing complains about the instability of them.
so, could you help choose one?

go with jtr, chernobyl or Agent Orange. i voted jtr, i'm growing chernobyl(has a jtr father), space bomb, Agent Orange and ripped bubba outdoors, all look very nice. got females flowering right now so they should be done by october 15th, what i've noticed is chernobyl is a great outdoor performer, it grew well last summer and i kept the clone, now i am running the clone this year with 5 other females and since that clone came from 2 freebies i guess i can land an even better pheno, but i like it alot. smell reminds me of lime Sour patch kids so its very easy to discern from other strains + very potent hybrid sativa head/body high, almost too intense for some of my friends. the agent orange is good yielder too with a similar racy high, same clone from last year as well running with 2 other females from a 5 pack, and one male that looks promising. very giddy uppy sativa kinda high, motivating and happy- my preferred wake and bake, takes 10 weeks to flower on my sati pheno clone, i want to find a better mother plant if she presents herself. agent orange also has the JTR father similar to Chernobyl and The Third Dimension as well as Ace of Spades. if you want to try their more stable poly hybrids, may as well begin with his highest tested strain. the ripped bubba outdoors also has JTR parent, I have 2 Third Dimension plants and they are also well requested, more so than jtr but since 3d isnt on your list either, nor Ripped Bubba.... ace of spades can shoot nanners, havent seen any evidence of full blown hermaphrodites out of 15 seeds, in my stressing tent i put 3d, AoS and the Void through alot of different kinds of stress so i can pick a stable mom that will not toss nanners or herm but remain reliable through anything that way they can be trusted to grow outdoors and outdoors is much worse than my tent, especially where i live.

so far i have not gotten any hermaphrodites from these strains, as i grew 10 minimum each- Agent orange, 3d, The Void, Vortex. 1 of the 2 chernobyl i grew prior was a herm, tossed nanners at week 7 out of 10 total, the other plant seems bulletproof, nothing outdoors made this plant herm, i guess its a lottery when you buy TGA, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Chernobyl or Vortex I think... maybe JTR. I don't have enough experience with them all to comment, I have definitely seen some less impressive phenos of JTR & Vortex, at least at a glance in terms of trichrome production, but I haven't seen too many dud Chernobyl's. At least in grow journals. Personally I went with Vortex as I am searching for an elite pheno that I know exist, but that's a choice. AFAIK even the less impressive looking Vortex's people have pretty good smoke reports with so it has that going too, now I'm talking myself into saying Vortex. I don't know.

I voted Vortex. It's the one Sub usually recommends too.

What are you growing from Sannie & Mr Nice?

also, that sounds like a sick lineup you got going, this is the last run of tga for me but it could be something new to you, ive tested about all the strains i wanted besides timewreck and spacedawg. i'm looking at seaofseeds right now with the 20% off promo, i think i'm going to pick up some purple haze from positronics though. been wanting some for the longest.

Hey indica, I'm also wondering about Positronics, the oldest seedbank in Europe. Yes it used to have a great rep but I'm not hearing about them to much. I guess this company is now only using the profitable brand name and has nothing to do with the old good Positrinics strains..Do you know anything about?
thx about voting bro.

I like these choices. Although the SM is unproven and a freebie I think. Extrema I have heard is potent, but I haven't tried it. Loved his KF & Herijuana though. Also liked the freebies. Shit is a nice choice, Angels Heart too. I really want some shit beans.

Also you mention going outdoors, I'd go with Chernobyl in that case. I'm pretty sure the Bloodwreck is pretty good outdoors, whereas neither of the Vortex mom/pops is particularly great outdoors. Just what I've gathered. I change my vote to Chernobyl.

Santa Maria unproven? Santa Maria is from Planck cut, elite clone, man it's a mythical strain, I'm feeling blessed to have those two freebies..
Chernobyl would be good (no paranoia also) yes, but it reminds me of the Chernobyl accident and I don't vote for it...(who thought of that name?)
I Like those free paranoia strains and as far as I understood from TGA site, that would be, maybe, the Apollo x Vortex. Also Qleaner sounds yum, but only 10,0% thc?
I'm still searching ...

Yes, qleaner was teasted at 11%, don't be fooled though, there are phenotypes that can produce twice that in cannabanoids and almost all being thc. I think it is one of subcools lackluster strains since it is a weaker jacks cleaner just purple. also, positronics still puts out great stuff, i know they partnered with homegrown fantaseeds and nirvana, hgf being one of my favorite breeders simply because their stuff is stable, well bred for potency and yield, less so for bag appeal, they have a sick bunch of afghani and shiva hybrids (super crystal, shiva afghani, shiva) At one point in time had the best cheese available in regular form, so most of positronics genetics + those of other breeders like sensi seedbank/mrnice. Positronics these days don't provide regular seeds, i think they are in the same league as g13 labs as they only provide fems of high grade cannabis. i like it though, since you can either choose Nirvana for commercial grade and higher and HGF/Positronics for some connoisseur quality gear.

Those are first time release fem seeds. They are completely unproven AFAIK. Fems are not clones of the plant. They take the genetics and cross them. The expression is not identical unless the genetic halves are pretty much identical or close to it (really unbelievably unlikely). If there's a herm recessive gene you could easily end up with a couple hermaphrodites. That's what I'm gettin at. I know the cut is well proven, the seeds are not. There is a good chance they are going to be good seeds, as the desired qualities should likely express themselves as well, but you should keep a close eye on em. I'm not sure it's fair to pit freebies against commercial release I guess is my other point.

Still, like the idea and I have legit interest in all 3 breeders.

They aren't tested AFAIK. They are unproven. I want some myself, but I will keep a close eye for unwanted recessive genetics (ie: Herms).

There's a reason they ended up as freebies. And it was by accident that happened in the first place. I think a lot of people (mistakenly) think femming a plant = a near clone. This is far from the case. If you femmed a true F1 you would have very unstable results.

I read over the first response, it's a good response and I respect the guys over there a lot. I want some SM freebies myself, but I got the impression that they weren't ever intended for release as they were and it was an accident. I also always got the impression that the effort put into freebies was not the same as commercial varieties, namely less testing, but it seems I am potentially wrong there. The response seemed more like a general philosophy about his entire program and was less clear about whether he does the same for all. For me, if I were a breeder I would take advantage of the freebie process to get information about what I'm doing with my latest attempts at commercial varieties and be fairly generous with the free seeds.

I guess he is talking about his freebies as well, except that I wonder if steps weren't skipped in the process with the SM because it wasn't supposed to be released. Could be it was ready for commercial in which case, right on. Anyway, point being, freebies vs paid seems unfair to all parties whichever direction it ends up.

i got the impression they were maybe to be sold not given as freebies but there was a miss-communication
and im sure he does the same for all, the guy is serious, jump on it if you want them or else you'll see a smoke report in a few month and you be kicking yourself

Maybe we should start a new topic about Santa Maria. It's true, e$ko said, that SM was never intend to be at the freebies section, but anyway all things that come out from e$kos breeding are true gems. You are right that SM seeds are not widely tried by growers, but are tried and tested by eskobar and that makes me feel safe.

We are out of subject, we R now talking TGA ..

posi sold all their genetics to HGF years ago and sold left over seed under kulu. Good seeds if you found them cheap £6-10 pr 5 pack.
The stuff they sell now is nowhere near any original

You need Chernobyl on that list

@canna-420: You need Chernobyl on that list[/QUOTE]

I really think that "Chernobyl" is a crap name..it reminds me the nuclear accident in Chernobyl and for that reason I'll pass. It's kinda like call a strain "Japan tsunami"...even worse here because it's nuclear. But I'm hearing for it nothing but praises..
I'm falling for Appolo13xVortex, sounds so very Brother Grimm and paranoia free..
