Research shows is BEST to chop when the sun rises!
Please show me that research. Not a second hand quote from some stoner website.

But the actual research you are referring to, please provide references so I can read it myself and come up with my own conclusions.

Thanx -AIM

I have no means of copying that as I don't have a scanner on hand

This is from High Times the closest thing we have to a peer reviewed research article. :weed:

What Time of Day to Harvest?
Timing the harvest is Paramount to the final quality. Harvest your precious buds in the dark, just before the lights normally come on. If possible, do not allow the plants to see direct light as long as their roots are attached. Direct light on a plant will draw up stored starches and sugars from the root system.

During the nighttime hours, our ladies are busy storing food down in their root system that they made during the daylight hours. During “lights out," starches and sugars produced by photosynthesis during the day drain downward to the roots. Knowing this, it is easy to figure out that you want to cut your plants away from the roots before the lights come on, when food moves back upward into the buds.

Agreed. High Times has been leading for decades as the top cannabis magazine for a reason, they do their research. Water a day or two before you turn your lights off, then leave for 2-4 days and you're golden(ventilation/fans stay on). Be safe and live life everyone.

I like to harvest my plants about 1 hour before the lights come on.
They smell most potent at that point and I read it in a mj book.
Plants know the cycle of the sun or your timer.
Actual a.m. or p.m makes no difference.

I like to stop watering a few days before harvesting but not dry the plants out.
I hate trimming sagging leafs and they can taste a bit nasty.

I usually pull the plug after the timer turns them off and I plan on harvesting the next day.
It's hard to trim 6-8 plants in 1 hour.
