Choppers in the day-time. plz help.

Hi everyone, I was going to start a grow but I got way to paranoid when I started. All I heard was cops and choppers (for real/ and sometimes in my head.) So I stopped. But I had a question that might help myself and others out in my situation. People are worried about choppers and their IR use. Well I was wondering if choppers can use IR in the daytime? If someone grows indoors during the day can choppers see the heat and bust?

IR cannot be picked up in the daytime. I believe thats highly impossible. The whole purpose of IR is to be used at night. The sun alone during the day will make it impossible for them to see any heat signatures.

u shudent worry at all. unless u got a strong smell that is tracabel to ur house, and then ud have to wory bout robbers more than coppers. but its mad hard to tell wuts wut indoors unless u got hundreds of plants

Basically.

if youre growing 1-3 plants, i wouldnt worry about it. theyre more concerned about big farms than someone growing for personal use from what i understand.

In ca they don't use any heat scan or any type of spy crap. I flower lights on at night and lights off in the day

I don't know if its I.R. that is being used. But marijuana reflects light different from other "native plants" They can detect your grow by using some sort of light sensitive scope that shows higher reflective properties. Not sure what its called.

For indoor grows they do use thermal equipment to check you out. It is inadmissable in court though. Looking into your house is an invasion of privacy. But that doesn't stop them from looking and gathering information!

I beg to differ that they can't use IR in the daytime. I used to use IR technology in my work (years ago). The main thing is the thermal differential; the difference between the air and the objects scanned. There has to be a difference of about 10 degrees F for anything to show up. I don't know if that's enough for MJ to show up on their scopes or not. It makes no difference to the IR sensors if it's dark or light outside. Blunted1 is absolutely right about them seeing into your house; they can see hot spots but they don't know exactly what it is or why it is.

that is my understanding also.

LoL, I have choppers over my house all day long. I sometimes even walk outside when I hear them and flip them the bird, LOL. Fuck it man, they fly over everyones homes just do your own shit and let no one else see, or know what you are doing and never get the police called to your location, you will never have any reason to be worried. It is really not as big of a deal as what people try to make it out to be. Think about how many homes are out there! To pin point just yours they are going to need an other reason first, stop worrying....

Yea i saw that show on tv. The only way they can spot them out is if there to many of them too close together. Where i live people get busted all the time for having hundreds of plants bunched up in one or two patches. ... its common sense to spread them out. I only worry about the choppers when my plants are about 8 foot tall, bushed up about 4 foot wide and there sticking out of the brush. I usually just keep them hidden in my swamps were the vegetation is dark green and gets up to the hieght of my plants. AS for indoor ops, the only thing i worry about is keeping nosey fucks away and do nothing to bring the fuzz around.

Leave your lights on for a month (if your that paranoid) with no plants...If they dont fuck with you, your good...My opinion your paranoid. I hear choppers right now... Ghetto Birds fly over all the time. If they want to invest their time and money for a 2 plant bust I'm sure they would use some narc's or local cops or something, not break out the choppers. I don't know about you area but a lot of choppers are also news related and medical related.Just grow some pot and relax. Smoke more weed, you'll feel better.

Correct. Law Enforcement will not use valuable assets to bust someone growing their own. Everything is more expensive whenever law enforcement is an element and helicopters fitted with IR scopes are expensive anyway. A commercial operation is another story.

The truth is law enforcement can come for any of us any time. All they have to do is examine electricity billing records, stake out grow-related shops (Hydroponics stores and Light bulb sellers), head shops, or troll internet forums.

Odds are they would use it as leverage on you because they want something else. For example, you happen to know or deal with shady characters. Cannabis is a lucrative and effective tool for law enforcement. Another good reason to be squeeky-clean.

They don't come after us now, the way they would if they could, because it is too late. There are too many of us now and we are connected electronically.

Thats a fact,a few years ago i saw a couple guy's in a pick up truck slowly cruising the neighborhood,the passenger had what looked like a video cam & kept it pointed at the foundation's of the houses as they cruised along,i instantly thought they were running a thermal scan of the houses.

They cant use it in court or ever admit to randomly scanning homes but they do & if they see a heat sig they now know who to look at later,for shit they can use in court.

Best advice is lights off at night just to be safe.

Pointless busting a house and wasting so much fed money on a plant that will yeild less than anything close to what they will spend to catch you.
