Chris' 2nd White Widow and Mystery Seed CFL Grow

Hey guys! Ok. I finally got off my lazy ass and took some pics of the plants so I can finally start this thread. For all of you new comers... My last grow was a Nirvana White Widow plant which grew amazingly. I got 3.15 ounces dry off her. In the beginning of the journal, I had planted a "Mystery Seed" as well that i received for free with my White Widow seeds... But sadly, the plant wasn't doing that well, so I got rid of it, and just focused on the White Widow.

Now I'm back with a 2nd attempt! I have 1 White Widow and, for now, 2 Mystery Seeds going. I plan on getting rid of one of the Mystery Seeds though, because I just want 1 of each.

One of the Mystery Plants is a clone I took from the one I killed off my last grow. (Before I killed it, I took like 5 clones, and this was the only one that survived) It doesn't really look that healthy though, and when I noticed that it wasn't looking that great, I planted another Mystery Seed for backup.

The other Mystery Seed I planted is looking pretty good. Its a little small, but looks a lot healthier than the other plant. The only reason I'm keeping the sick looking one around, is because i don't know if this other Mystery Seed is female or not. Sadly, I do not know the exact age of this plant. If I had to guess, I would say maybe 2 weeks old? 3 at the most. I have had it under 12-12 lighting for about maybe 4 days now, and so I am hoping to find out the sex within the next week.

The White Widow plant i have is doing amazing. =) She has been vegging for 30 days I believe? She showed sex (female, they were feminized seeds) before I even put her under 12-12 lighting. I decided to FIM her. This was my 1st attempt at FIM'ing, and from the looks of it, it came out great. =) She is VERY bushy, I'm actually a bit nervous at how big she is going to get, but we will just have to wait and see. =)

Thanks to everyone who is coming from my old thread, to this new thread for a 2nd adventure. =) The last one was pretty fun, and a good learning experience.

And just to pre-warn any newcomers... I tend to get carried away when taking pictures. So I sometimes upload 20,30,and sometimes even 40 pics at a time. lol. That's usually only when there is buds forming though.


Plants/Strains : 1 White Widow (Nirvana Feminized) - 2 "Mystery" Seeds (Nirvana)

Soil : Miracle Grow Moisture Control

Nutes : VEGGING - Miracle Grow - All Purpose - Single Packets (15-10-10)
FLOWERING - Schultz All Purpose Plant Food (10-15-10)

Lighting : 9 CFL's (All different wattage. Soft White & Daylight mixed) 1 20 watt Floro Tube. 330 watts Total

FIRST POST!! Nice looking lady you got there for this round, I cant wait to follow along this round. Did you get more lighting for this round? How do you have it setup for two plants? I know last round you just surrounded the plant in a dome of lights basically didn't you? Well whatever your doing this round, it looks like its working, Nice successful topping too. But ya that mystery clone doesn't look good at all lol, but that replacement is looking promising. I see that 360 in the background... You should PM me your gamertag if you ever want to get schooled at some MW:2 j/k .. Other then that i dont play much else lol

Thanks man... yeaa, right now Im just usin the same amount of light. I can add an extra 80 watts to if for a lil bit.. until I start vegging my next set of plants (which wont be until week 6-7 of flowering). Right now its a bit crowded cuz I got 3 in there.. hopefully the small plant will be female! and I can toss the old one out.

Im not really sure how im gonna set it up yet.. once I get rid of the extra plant.. I'll figure out the setup. and yeaa, the clone does look like shit... lol. soo hopefully the other one will be female!

Hahahaha... and yeaaa if you wanna get schooled in MW:2 you can.. lol. I gotta upgrade to Gold Membership soon tho.. I still only got Silver Memebrship. =/ but my gamer tag is BigChrisB

Plants look good chb. You are ready to rock on again!!! Both the MSs look good man, you should grow both if you have the room...Think you can fit in 3 in there?

lol. Hellll Yeaaa Im ready!! lol Yeaaa, im afraid the smaller plant might be a male.. I see little things forming.. and it looks like it may be balls... not sure yet tho. If I have to keep the sickly looking plant... I may trim the lower branches that look sickly.. and just see what happens.


Not sure if I can fit 3 or not?? it would be a tight squeeze.. ESPECIALLY with this White Widow... this things a BEAST!!

Ughhhh...... Well bad news guys... The small Mystery Plant turned out to be a male.... =/ Sooo I'm gonna have to take my chances with the sickly looking plant.. and just hope for the best. I am removing it.. well.. him today, and will set-up my lights a little different now and try to make it work best for both plants.

I also have a 5 Gallon Bucket.. like one that you would buy from Home Depot or Lowes or something.. just a plain 5 gallon bucket, and I drilled some holes in the bottom, and I am going to transplant the White Widow into that really soon. Just have to make sure I have enough soil. I should have enough though. She's really big. Alot bigger than my last White Widow plant. I gotta do something with the lights though, because she keeps growing sideways, since I have light on the side of her... she's just reaching out sideways for them.

As for the Mystery Plant.... I was wondering whether you guys think I should just leave her the way she is.. or go in with the scissors and trim any leaves that look really unhealthy? Just want other peoples opinion on the idea... not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I will keep everyone up to date.

Well that answers that question...the plants made the decision...

I would use a shorter bucket if height is an issue. This will give you more room and if this WW is bigger you might need it...I am going to start in 2 gal smart pots and then transplant up to 5 gal smart pots in flower next time.

I would not trim her yet, let her go and see how see does. Just cut them if they die. You have a lot of side lights so it should work well like last time.

Whatever you do I am sure it will be grand...I have faith in ya bru!!!

lol.. yeaa, they madde up my mind for me. =/

yeaa, im gonna look through my pics again.. and see how much room I had height wise.. I think I might be good tho. cuz the 5 gallon bucket wasnt too much taller than the 2 pots I put together for Mary-J. Soo I dont think that will be a problem.

Ughhh.. I forget if I told you guys or now.. But I was transplanting the White Widow into the 5 gallon bucket.. (The roots looked fucking CRAZYYYYY!!! I took pics, adn will post them 2morrow.. u gotta check these roots out man! fucking insane!) And so i filled the bottom of the bucket.. put the WW plant in.. and got ready to fill the sides..... adn ran out of fucking soil!! I was fuckin BULLSHIT!! and soo i had to take the bus to K-Mart to get soil.. and i kept missing buses.. but i FINALLY made it there.. and got home.. and fucking realized... I bought GARDENING soil... not POTTING soil... fucking bullshit!! sooo I had to put the plant back in the old pot.. and Im gonna have to go back tonight and return it adn get the right stuff and transplant it tomorrow.. but I was sooo fucking pissed!! lol

and ok.. yeaaa, I'll wait it out then.. adn see how she does.. see if she starts looking any healthier...

Ok to the grow: The Mystery does look a little sick but doesn't look deadly sick, I think there's time and something to be done to get her feeling better. I would reccomend hitting the plant problem page and try to diagnose her. That may be easier said than done but I definitley think there's a thread on here with someone who had had a similar plant problem or someone who would have an idea of the problem just from taking a look at the picture of her so def give that a try. On the question to cut sick leaves - I've read different things about this and most say to leave the leaves alone because they are holding nutrients that she needs so cutting the leaves is also removing nutrients so keep that in mind, but that was mainly for healthy plants if Im not mistaken so it could be different for a sick baby??? I wish I was a veteran with more knowledge to help you man! but like I said I'm sure there's someone on here who can help ya get her back to full health!

Yeaaaa, I think I might look on there.. see what I can find for info.. last time I tried growing this strain... It went like 4 weeks into flowering... and still only had these lil tiny baby white hairs... sooo I'm hoping this time around.. she actually grows! lol. I'll be pissed if she dont.. but if like 3 or 4 weeks go by.. and she's not showing much by then.. gonna just toss her out.. and focus on the white widow.. which is what I had to do last time... =/

lol. yeaaa, she sure is a bushy one. ALOT bushier than my last WW. which is always good. shes gonna be HUGE once shes about 4-5 weeks old! Gonna be a beast!! lol. and alllrighty. deff stop by once in a while.. i know its kinda boring right now.. cuz theres no buds or anything.. but soon enough.. there will be! =)

Allllrighty guys. its Friday.. soo time to take some pics. and post them up.. gettin ready to take them out for their photoshoot!! Pics will be posted soon!!

Allllllrighty. Well, I finally transplanted the WW into the 5 gallon bucket.. long story short.. I tried to transplant her on wed. i think it was.. but ran out of soil.. and I had already made a few small cuts into the root ball to help speed up growth.. but then had to stick her back in the old pot.. and I was supposed to go get the new soil yest. but never got a ride.. and so I was gonna do it today. so when I took her out to take pics.. I realized that ALOT of the leaves were drooping... badly.. adn starting to yellow.. adn the soil was completely dry! Sooo i panicked!! I searched around my house.. adn found some cheap soil my mom bought at Ocean State Job Lot.. its called "New Era".. it looked nasty.. but I didnt really have a choice... I think she was drying because I had snipped the roots... but there wasnt anything for them to grow into.. except the bottom of the pot.. soo I said fuck it.. and used that to fill in the sides... everything underneath the rootball/shape of the pot is all Miracle Grow Moist Control... it was just the siding that I had to fill with the New Era soil.

Just thought I should give u guys that quick update.. because the plant does look a little "droopy". As far as the Mystery Plant goes.... well.. no real change in her yet.. stick barely any white hairs showing... and still sickly looking... ughhh. I'm really hoping I dont have to get rid of this strain.... again.. this is exactly what happened with my last grow.. and I ended up JUST growing the White Widow... =/

But w.e.... if worse comes to worse.. then it'll just be another WW grow... nothing wrong with that. =) and this on is FIM'ed.. and it vegged for about a month.. and its in a 5 gallon bucket.. =) Sooooo things are a little bit different this time around. lol

Alllright. on to the pics.. just some basic pics.. nothing really to show yet. once the pistils start showing up a little more.. I will be sure to get some clear close up pics of them.. but for now... its a waste of time to take pics of the ones that are showing. Here ya gooo.

Nice man, the roots look good, Im sure that on plant will be fine.
How tall are the ladies?

Theyre both about.. maybe 1 1/2 feet tall. gotta find the tape measurer to be sure.. But I'd say right about there.
