After reading the book, seeing the movie, he strikes me as the real deal.

I mean damn, wouldn't you have wanted this guy on your side when the shit gets deep? Isn't he what Americans aspire do be, what we all hope we could be when the going gets tough?

The morons who say he had a murderous streak - it was a fucking war zone, and his job.

AFOAF ran into a Marine a few nights ago who cleared house to house to him - he said it was no BS, he was all that, and more. Based on the way the world looks, we're going to need a whole lot more cut from his cloth.

Right out of High school I was offered a commission in the army by an officer in the recruiting division. I'm sure some young men went for this not knowing there was an underlying death sentence attached, I knew. He knew I saw the big picture. His response was that's OK. we will draft U and U can do the same thing as a private, ie. volunteer to die as a lieutenant, or be sentenced to die as a private. After that I always prescribed to: When the going gets tough I'm not going to be anywhere around, and he who fights and runs away lives to run another day...

I haven't read the book or watched the movie, but I did watch an interview and thought he was leader of men. What a shame we had to lose a man like that the way we did. RIP.

Thats true, and to me he was a leader. The guy that shot him was not. That guy that shot him reminds me of the guy that BarryO traded five enemy leaders for, a runner. And we sure don't have a leader of men sitting in the white house. BarryO is the leader of the Gruber idiots. Those are the ones that were to lazy to vote the last time around so BarryO didn't even lead them worth a shit.

Like I said it all depends on what you are looking for to lead you. The guy who shot him was CrAzY.

He was crazy. I don't even remember his name. Just like I don't remember the guys name that shot John Lennon. When I think of Lennon I get bummed out all over again, sorry. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. Fuck.

all the shooting legends are based on his exploits. He held every record there was.
