NEEM OIL......it works and is cheap. High Tech Garden Supply

And to all the folks on here....am I the only one who can say "blind leading the blind"???? I am a well read newb as well, with 7 grows under my belt and a few problems I have overcome, but I DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERIENCE to offer the advice this Chuck douche is spouting.......nor does he....listen to some folks who have been here a while and know there shit, and aren't just giving you book answers, rather than their own experiences. PLEAS I IMPLORE YOU.....read books written by people with EXPERIENCE and not some guy who wants to feed his ego...K???
And, by the way, Arjan Roskum (who we all know has at least a degree of experience) has stated that 24 hours of light deprives the plant of rest it needs to become the healthiest it can, and he also says 48 hours of dark before switching to 12/12 is REQUIRED (his word, not mine) for the best fruit production and faster fruit set.....this is my argument......nature set the plant up to function with light and dark throughout it's life......we are mimicing nature.....why waste the power to run 24/0 when 18/6 works fine...and better from my EXPERIENCE.
Thanks Chuck for trying to help, and rep to you for your intentionsd, but dude.....seriously.....how cool do you need to be???
how cool do you need to be posting this kind of shit on someone elses help thread?

if you got beef take it elsewhere. Not everybody can find neem oil so i didnt suggest it. ANYONE can get safers end-all (like i suggested) or a pack of smokes to do a nicotine spray for a quick fix.

if you are so experienced then what the hell are you doing in the newb section?

If you are so smart then start your own fucking thread loser

Everyone on here has a internet connection and supplied a link......so everyone CAN find it, and I think for less than 20 bucks with shipping, anyone who wants to save their crop can spend for it. I use HTG all the time, have for 3 years for my outdoor (non weed) gardens, and since I moved I use them online, and thwey ship to me in less than a week all the time, and I am across the US from them now.

if you are so experienced then what the hell are you doing in the newb section?
In the post you reference, anyone can see I plainly stated I was not experienced enough....though I have had more crops than you....to be offering help to newbs, because I don't want to lead them astray.

If you are so smart then start your own fucking thread loser
Again...to reference above, I wouldn't suppose myself to such lofty heights as to think I could teach. I refer people to those with real experince. I am a newb myself, as I stated.

And, dear Chuck, my angry friend, I did give you positive rep for your intentions.....I just think that you carrying it out is ill advised. Sorry you have such a chip.....and here I have always been fond of the Canadians as a kind and gentle folk.......you disappoint your country, Chuck, you surely do. Alas, I am American....so I let Geroge Bush do that for my country. Perhaps you should run for president of Canada??? Or maybe, just maybe, GOD OF WEED!!!!!

if you can't find Ph strips anywhere go to a pool place. somewhere that services or sells hot tubs, and pools. You can get a crude ph tester that will give you an idea of what you are running give or take .5-1 ph kinda thing.

a good way to neutralize your feeding water is to add a small amount of nutes.

Tap water will be fairly basic at around 8 or so depending on where you live. Spring water is a little less basic and RO water is even closer to neutral.
Nitrogen(N) and phosphoric acid(P) are highly acidic and the third molecule, potash(K), is basic, but generally with an all purpose nute w/ micro and macronutrients will balance out to be a ph of around 5 to 6 depending on the ratio of N-P-K.

oh, and you used the term "ph deficiency". its not really a deficiency but when the ph of the soil or hydro water is off the nutrients dont absorb through the roots properly causing nutrient deficiency.
you want to keep the ph around 6-6.5 for optiminal nutrient absorbtion

you knew what i meant tho m8 lol

i got a bit of bottled water thats 7.5 if i remember right and my m8 added some vinegar to lower it like a few bits... i duno if i wana give my plant this like... it had a couple drops of bio-boom in it... i dunno if you will be able to tell but you could maybe make a more educated guess than me well u could... lol

so could u roughly say what the ph is?

its in a standard 500 mlo bottle i think if its not il edit this lol

depends on the initial Ph of the soil. and by the sounds of it you are from Australia :D so i wouldnt know for sure. Im not sure what the ph of the bio boom would be either.

is there a sequence of numbers on your bio-boom? should look something like N-P-K but with numbers representing percentage of concentration?

find them on the bottle and give it a post,, i will be able to help you better

I have large tupperware thing 3/4 full of tap water and an aquarium bubbler stone in it to add oxygen or whatver and let the chlorine dissipate. My tap water ph is 7.5 or so. Should I adjust ph in the big tub everytime I add water or should I put the water from my tub into my watering container then add nutes then ph adjuster? Also, I read somewhere that nitric acid is good to lower ph cause it adds N. Where can I find some?
Also, I plan on recieving my seeds in the next few days and start growing immediatly. I really want to have some bud ready for christmas to give to and smoke w/the members of my family who smoke, is it a terrible thing to harvest a little early if need be in order to have some ready for christmas? Strains are white widow, red sour diesel, durban poison, and northern lights.
Thanks broham.

The only factor i can think of would be the thought that the acidity of the "ph'ed" water will eat away shotty forms of plastic over extended use. I've had it happen to me. Personally I would add everytime to the watering can, but it depends on how much you keep in and and how long. No lie, i had nute water eat away at my watering container. the ph was about 6 and it only took a week ore so of continually using it and leaving some in. it is definately more conveinient to add to the tub though. but again, what is it made out of?

Also, I read somewhere that nitric acid is good to lower ph cause it adds N. Where can I find some?
never used it so im not going to comment. As far as i know nitric acid is simply a molecule consisting of the elements nitrogen and oxygen,, but you need to watch the concentration. At high concentrations it COULD be dangerous, to you and your plant. but like i said,, i have never personally used nitric acid.
You can find phosphoric acid in the proper concentrations to lower ph on grow websites or grow shops. You just need to look.

Time is running out! a short indica flowering period is 6 weeks or more usually. Thats not including veg time. Personally I wouldnt waste the seeds for a plant you are going to veg for only a week or so. you wont get much bud and you will most likely have to harvest early which will turn a very weak product. get your practice and wait for next x-mas.

Hey Chuck thanks for helpping out man......I have a question about Lowryder #2 I've had my seedings in for 3 days now. They are doing great so far. I wanted to know when I should put them under lights? They haven't broke their shells all the way but are growing just great. should I wait till they unfold their leafs?

as soon as the seed breaks you want light. a plant will always grow towards the brightest source of light, and if you do not put an overhead light in right away the young seedling might start growing sideways to find the light from a window or computer screen or whatever.
Having the light there as soon as it breaks is like you "showing it where to go", UP!

hope this helps :D
