Hey People!

I am mid grow on my first organic experiment. Just joined though, so I will be playing catch up on posting my detailed grow info and pics.

I am currently on Day 50 from seed.
I've been flowering for 14 Days at this point. Started flower when the tallest plant was 14".

This first post is my soil info. This is Subs recipe that I tweaked/swapped a few ingredients on. *Edit* This is also quarter scale to Subs original*

Base Soil Mix
Nectar for the Gods #4...............3 cubic ft.
Central Iowa Worm Castings....8.25 lbs.
Pumice..................................................3lbs

Macro Nutrient Amendments
Fish Bone Meal.............10ozs......4-12-0
Bone Meal.......................10ozs.......3-15-0
Sea Bird Guano.............20ozs.......0-11-0
Blood Meal.....................20ozs.......12-0-0
Bio-Fish.............................10ozs.......7-7-2
Crab Meal........................10ozs.......4-3-0
Alfalfa Meal....................14ozs.......2.5-0.5-2.5

Total Macro Nutrient Volume = 94ozs
Adjusted NPK ratio for total macro nutrient volume = 4.84-6.35-0.59
(Single Ingredient Volume divided by total macro nutrient volume) then add each adjusted ingredient ratios together)
**Does anyone know if this formula for figuring the adjusted NPK ratio is legit?**

Micro Nutrients, Trace Minerals & Mycorrhizae
Dolomite Lime......1/4 cup
Basalt..........................1/2 cup
Mykos.........................1/2 Tbsp
Humic Acid.............1/2 Tbsp
Epsom Salt..............3 Tbsp
Oyster Shell............20ozs

I mixed the base mix, macro nutrient amendments, micro nutrients, trace minerals & mycorrhizae with 2 gallons of water.

I let that cook for 2 months.

I filled my planters (5 gallon buckets with lots of small holes drilled in sides and bottom) with about 4 inches of the super soil mix on the bottom, then a 1 inch layer of super soil mixed with bagged Nectar #4. Then I filled the remainder of the bucket with more bagged Nectar #4. I did leave a few inches of head space in the buckets.

Next post will be pics and other info I've collected for this grow up until now.

Germination---
(2) Cinderella99 Feminized seed from Growers' Choice. originally just wanted to pop 1, but the first seedling seemed a little weak looking. so, the two plants are actually about 1 weeks worth of growth different.

Soaked seeds in de-chlorinated (i just let all water sit for a day or so to chill the chlorine) tap water until it sank. about 2.5 hours until it sank.
Planted in peat cup filled with seed starter soil. peat and soil were soaked prior to planting.

Visible plants by Day 5 & 6 after planting.

Day 31 -- Took 2 cuttings from each plant. One plant I took both branches of the 2nd nodule. The other plant I took both branches of the 3rd nodule.

Day 32 -- Second Topping. The plant pictured below was topped above the 1st growth nodule on each of the two new mains. The other plant I decided to top lower branches instead of doing a second top on the 2 mains just to see what happens

Day 41 -- Got generator power going. Did have to cut power during light cycle every 6 hours to fill generator.
Day 42 -- Power back about 8pm

Flower Day 15
Day 51 from seed

Both plants are thriving in the organic soil.
Not having to focus on feeding schedules and deficiencies has let me focus and improve on the environment I'm providing for these wonderful ladies.

I have been adding 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of recharge (granulated molasses & other good shit) to every other watering.

The tallest tops are 24" the shortest are 18ish inches. Both plants' canopies are spread out over about 4.5 square feet total.

Little baby budlettes are starting to stack.

Flower Day 20
Day 56 from seed

Over the past few days I removed about 45 leaves between the two plants. I also pruned 5 very small larf branches from 1st nodes on axillary branches. Leaves were starting to collect condensated transpiration

I was trying not to defol or prune at all because these 2 plants are part of my control group in a lollipop vs. no lollipop experiment.

The ladies are still looking healthy in the super soil mix. They drink about a gallon every four days. recharge stick added every other watering.

sorry for the bad lighting pics

Flower Day 25
Day 61 from seed

Both plants still seem to be loving life.

They are drinking 3/4 gallon every other day now.

Lefty is growing bigger buds than righty. Righty has more bud sites though.

Righty began 12's at 11 inches tall. She is now about 32 inches tall, spread over 2.25 sq. ft.
Lefty began 12's at 14 inches tall. She is now about 28 inches tall, also spread over 2.25 sq. ft
I removed about 50 leaves from each plant over the last 5 days.

So far, for flower cycle:
Average temp: 76 F
Average RH: 52%

Lefty is darker green. Righty is a lighter green.---that's not really yellowing leaves on righty, just bad photography.

Flower Day 31
Day 67 from seed

I had to leave town for 3 days. I've been watering every 3 days. So I figured it wouldn't be a problem to leave if I watered the morning I left. Well, lefty dried and wilted. Not what I wanted to see when I got home. I watered her right away and she bounced back pretty much immediately.

Keeping leaf removal to a minimum.

Flower Day 46
82 Days From Seed

It seems like the buds are done swelling for the most part.

Leaves are starting to fade from dark green to lighter green/early yellowing in a few random areas (high and low) in the canopy.

I hope the pistils/stigmas start to turn at a quicker pace than they have been. I don't really want to add anything to my soil this late, but I'll bubble up a tea if I absolutely feel the plant won't mature by the end of week 9. Over the next few days the plant will tell me a lot about when she'll be ready and whether or not I can skate by w/o soaking a tea.
