Citrus Tree ; Faster Harvest

So I have wanted to start growing a couple citrus trees and understand that, from seed, they can take anywhere from 7-10 years to bear fruit..and thats if youre lucky enough to have one that flowers.

So I want to get something I can harvest from with wayyy less time involved.. I looked into propagation and wondered:
If I clone a mature tree, will that clone bear fruit more quickly?

Also, can I buy a dwarf lemon tree that is closer to bearing fruit? How much does that typically cost?

Thanks

I have 6 from seed lemon trees in MI. Buy at the store. Top 5 most miserable learning to grow ever. Honestly scared of them getting outside in the sun and heat of summer now that they are healthy indoors.

What made it miserable?

Citrus must be grafted in order to realize worthwhile yields and fruit quality. Growing from seed or cloning the 'bud' wood will not give reasonable results. One must get the seed from 'root stock' and grow it...then take a cutting from a 'bud wood' plant and graft the bud wood to the root stock...this is how citrus is done. Good luck.
