yea i saw this like 2-3 times. def. a good movie. i think the same director made like a prt 2 but i think its all different people. i saw it at best buy once. i didnt but and now cant rember the title. but great movie and i love the title.........CITY OF GOD

Definitely one of the greatest movies ever made 10/10.
Oldboy is awesome, the 2 other movies in the Revenge Trilogy are awesome as well, "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" and "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance". "The Lives of Others" is a great German film. "Chungking Express", "A Better Tomorrow" and "Infernal Affairs" are great Chinese movies. I have many more but that should suffice for now.

Yeah Oldboy is epic. They actually show the hall fight scene in film classes now because of how epic and original it was. Check out it's 2 companion movies also, not quite up to it's level but still better then most american dribble that gets shoved out.

Cool, if you liked COG you will like this. Same level of awesomeness. Like most subtitled films, don't miss a second or you could get lost.

Thanks, I love indie/foreign films. Every time I see COG I see something new that I didn't see before so I'm guessing I'll have to do the same with Oldboy, or any foreign movie for that matter...

I've been meaning to watch that one but haven't had much time to check out indie movies, mostly due to my wife not really liking those kinds of movies. I think I've seen more chick flicks in my 2 years of marriage than anything else, lol
Not to mention I like a few anime's I need to add to my collection of dvd's.
