Cleaning the LES with 99.9% Iso alky?

Maybe I'm not entering the search terms correctly, but can't seem to find this info, sorry if it's a typical noob question ;?D

Anyway, when I got my very first COB's in the mail, I immediately grabbed one and began fondling it lovingly... okay not exactly, lol, but I did touch the LES before thinking that this might not be a good idea.

So can I just clean the LES with a Q-tip and some iso alky I've got laying around - it says "99.9% pure anhydrous Isopropyl Alcohol"?

yes. i do it every time. phosphor is tough just dont press too hard

every time????i find just when its dirty is good fingerprints don't count hahahha

every time i mount one! not every time i turn it on..

im as ocd as the next guy but cmon now!

Cool, great to know the phosphor isn't delicate, that's one less worry, thanks for the info ;?)
