Clear Trichs to Aamber Trichs but No Cloudy Trichs

So the trichs on my plant are about 87% clear and 13% amber, so I am confused of when to chop this baby down and harvest. It seems like they are going from clear to amber, skipping the cloudy trichs. I don't want to have to many amber's because I'm more into energetic highs rather than couchlock. I can't do shit on couchlock and usually eat myself stupid. Any advice on these trichs? Will the cloudy trichs eventually appear, or just more ambers?

That's some dank ass lookin purple! You sure those trichs are going amber? Hard to tell in the pics, but the pistils in 3-4 don't look harvest ready to me.

When did you plant them?

They don't look ready, not dense enough calyxes and no receding pistils.

Some strains harvest with white pistils.
Which is why you shouldn't go for pistil colour to determine when to harvest.

Thanks, +rep for being specific :) the non-receding pistils is what someone else had told me as well. I will post pics in a week on saturday if you care to check back. Thanks for the help.

I planted them exactly 5 months ago, on April 20th, and first sign of sex was around July 15th to July 20th. So 5 months old and basically 8 weeks into flowering.

Yw.

Alright that sounds like a serious amount of time.
I'm a bit surprised at the size of the plant since it has been living for 7 months or so but there are natural causes for that, strains vary and general conditions of course.
But all together your plants look good, nice colours and good formation, give them the time they need.
However you have to remember that you harvest based on preference, don't let too many trichomes turn amber (the THC is 'broken down' to CBN (which isn't psychoactive)).
If you want more info on the substances of the plants I have a informative picture I can post, explaining how they are formed a bit more thoroughly.

I will check back with the thread when you update with new pictures :)

Thanks for the reply.

**Living for 5 months to correct ya, heh. It's 3 months veg, 2 months flowering. And Oh, that wasn't the whole plant, that was a zoom on just one of the colas lol (pic 1 is of one cola, pic 2 of another, and pic 3-4 are virtually the same thing). There are about 6 colas that big, and 2 smaller colas (Silly me topped above 4th node.) I will post pictures of the entire plant early this weekend, and some more of the colas, and close-ups on the buds; it's decent size but yeah not 'as' big as other growers (I have to keep in a spot that gets sunlight, but doesn't get "THAT" much "direct" sunlight as I have to conceal from neighbors lol, so a "light"-shade from the hedge hovers above earlier than I'd hope for, especially with the days shortening, but it still gets plenty of sunlight just not as much as I'd desire.) Thanks for checking thread, will post pics early weekend. Ta ta for now! :)

Yeah what was I saying, 5 months of course ^^
Makes more sense now size wise.

It looks fine for a 5 month old plant tbh, it can be hard to find the perfect spot outside if you have to watch out for neighbors etc ;)
