Clear water?

I'm running a small DWC bubbler. Everything seems fine... plant is healty, PH and PPM are all fine, but I notice an odd aspect of my nute mix.
When I mix up my nute mix it's brown because of the nutes in the water. As time goes by, it appears the color componant sinks to the bottom of the tank and the water becomes clear. PH an PPM are all fine, but the clear water worries me a bit.
Using Fox Farms nute package.

Any thoughts? Is this normal?

Thanks!

Very good question, I'm glad you asked because I noticed and have been wondering the very same thing. All the nutes almost seem to sink to the bottom, but I dont have anything to check ppm and ec and stuff just ph. I haven't noticed any defficiences or differences after this happens, but it has always made me wonder!

Hmmm To the bottom or to the roots? Do you notice your nutes clinging to the roots at all?

Roots look picture perfect... white and fluffy. Plant is growing great.
All the color in the original nute mix seems to have settled in the bottom of the tank.

Thanks!

IF roots are doing ok then I would not mess with it too much. How are your air stones/bubbles looking? If they are working then I wouldn't sweat it.

I dont get the sediment idea? Dont you want to have a lot more water movement then that if yours is "settling out"?

I'm a newb when it comes to hydro - so these are more questions then answers.

I asked the same question at a local hydroponics store and was told that most of what you see settle out of the water to the bottom is not the nutrients - but inert material that is used to "carry" the nutrients until packaged in a bottle. But beyond what I was told - I hadn't researched it at all. I'm curious what others have to say on the topic.
