Maybe they do need a nuke in the ass. I've never paid much attn to N.korea till I watched this documentary last night called The children of the secret state. I know they are not the only fucked up country but it kinda blew my mind what conditions the non-elite live in. Homeless kids rounded up in raids and put in "hostiles" left to die! The doc has a bunch of video and pic from a N.Korean who made it across the river and back a few times into china to bring back his pic and vid. He just wanted people to see what was happening. It's from 2000 but makes me wonder what these girls were covering?

I was wondering the same thing. They were working for Al Gore's media outlet ... so they were probably taking photos of the gross polution in N. Korea.

Probably in bad taste, but I think it would have been ironic if Il had just detained Clinton and let the girls go.

Yes, it was all set up before Clinton ever boarded the aircraft. It's a bad precedent but a great political photo op. Now that is a serious foreign policy, no?
