I Have Plants That Are 4 Weeks Into Bud,i Was Told Buy Someone If I Clip The Lower Buds That Are Very Small That I Will Direct That Energy To The Upper Buds To Make Them Even Bigger. Is That True

Sort of...

If you are 4 weeks into the flowering stage, it will probably not make a difference. But, this grow should give you an idea of how USELESS lower buds ARE.. unless you add sidelighting or keep your plants short..

do you have a picture..?

How pathetic are your lower branches?

How tall is your plant?

What kind of lighting do you have?

cheers
pictures???

WOW.. you will be fine. don't cut the buds.. YOU HAVE GREAT LIGHTING!

yes your friend is right.. if you would have cut them on the day you switched to 12/12 or sooner... but now you are HALF way to the finish line...

Basically everything 24 inchs or below is subject to scrutiny and could be cut....

EVERY 12 inches the HPS looses 1/2 of its lumens.... SO at 36 inches the light is really doing less than a CFL...

It is best to flower a plant between 12 and 24 inches when using 1000watt HPS...

Because of plant # restrictions (law) many growers prefer to grow BIG and have fewer plants...

You can always add side lighting... THIS will make a HUGE difference!!

and NOW you KNOWM
