Clone Cuttings Directly Into Soil?

Old post but information still relevant and not really cleared for soil so here goes.
1) Keep a small 4" pot with soil for each cutting within reach
2) small dish with rooting "powder, gel, water" on hand within reach
3) Small bowl with water "suitable enough to water plants with" within reach, and deep enough plants wont touch bottom if dipped.
Dont worry about air bubbles if cut properly, ive NEVER had this issue so long as its treated and planted within about 30 seconds to 45 seconds.
Cut your cutting on a 30 - 45 degree angle off its host mother "or father if your in to that sort of thing lol"
make sure your cutting has at least 2 leaves "1 set" and a stem at least 1.5" long for best results, however technically 1 leaf and .25" stem is enough, its not recommended.
take the cutting and put it into the plain water, count to 5, place directly from water to rooting material.
Now plant into soil
To prevent soil from drying out the pots can be placed into bowls of water that have the water come 1/4 of the way.
the pots will continually wick the water and stay wet
- method 2 -
Place a pop bottle bottom "cut off the top" over the entire plant pot so the bottle comes over the table. another good reason to keep the planters small 4" types or styrofoam cups etc.
ive done both methds to keep dirt wet, both work.
Keep very light air flow to prevent mold.
What to expect:
Wilting, bad wilting. will start anywhere from 5 to 60 mins after the cut occured.
then if your cutting took, and it should have. within 3 to 24 hours under light it will look healthy again.

Whatever it is worth.. and it may be worth nothing..
I never have an issue with my clones.. I can't remember the last time one DIDN'T take..

I've a buddy who just does right to soil, and another buddy who set up an entire expensive lab like clone environment with bubblers and special lights and humidity controls..
So there is no one way.. and there is no right way..
Perhaps the most 'sure way' and simple way would be air cloning..
I never have an issue with my clones.. I can't remember the last time one DIDN'T take..

I give up. Disinfected. Ran bleach thru for a day. Ran peroxide for half a day. Put in new water and cuttings and still got slime in three days. Just can’t figure it out. I’ll either switch to aero or peat plugs because whatever is going on with my environment isn’t good for DWC.

just mist them with a spray bottle lightly until they root. And yes high humidity cover with plastic baggie or Saran Wrap. Do 18 /6 hrs of light right off Don’t overwater just mist with bottle keep moist not wet

I put clones in soil put a bag over a couple days then take off and mist with sprayer daily and they take in a week or so beautiful. Here is 1 I did and also a clone nowI've been cloning into my man-made soil for over 25 years now. It requires little effort and it's cheaper than buying an overated Cloning Machine. I was educated in the Art of growing marijuana by an ex-military serviceman who spent a couple of years in Holland. The Dutch really know their Shit when it comes to growing some dank Pot. The original Dutch Method(Sea of Green) is the only method to use in growing some Killer Smoke. It's the way to go if you're on a tight Budget. i believe Youtube.com has the sea of Green Method by Hans. Check it out...they have a great section on Cloning into soil.

Don’t over complicate it all. Take cuttings, cut at angle and scrape outer layer dip in rooting hormone. Place in peat plug in a tray with dome. Place on heat mat and keep plus moist. Almost 100% success for me
