just wondering why my clones might be getting brown tips...i have 30 in an ez cloner for the first time...ph is between 6-7 and 26 in rock wool and some of them are getting brow tips...i just cut them off...also im wondering why clones start turning yellow...last time i had that problem....even before they got roots...any help would be appreciated...i have been spraying them with water...but not ph'd water tho could this be burning them somehow...my ph is only maybe like 8 or 7. something normally.....i also have a reptile heat pad under the ones in rockwool the het pad sits at 100f under the c0ntainer i have the clones in so it never actually gets that hot for sure....any other tips or tricks i should be using to help this process...i figuer the yellowing is from some sort of deficiency...but they have no roots for me to feed nutes...they were healthy and fine when i cut them....a couple are also looking lifeless while the rest have started to perk up...is this normal...any help is appreciated!!!

Clones need to root, they have nowhere to get the energy so they take it from the leaf. It is natural for leaf to turn yellow. When I see one that looks like it is dieing I figure another one rooted. after a couple days they spring back and I see light green growth.

New growth! You did it!

Oh by the way, don't spray the plants, Spray the dome to get humidity up. Water the medium every other day with clone solution and Keep them warm. In a couple days take off the dome. from what I understand ph is to help the plant absorb metals in the nutes and is not needed when rooting but I would use distilled or R/O water to start with.

there is no done on my easy cloner but the water is warm...so i should not be worried about the yellowing at all...last time my clones yellowed up bad and died off all of them almost some of them rooted but were like nothing....well all is looking well i guess...the ones in rock wool have a dome and i misted that and i have a heat pad and im just leaving the rockwool moist with a bit of water in the tray so the heat pad doesnt keep to hot....i have misted the leaves a couple times cause i heard thats the only way they can get water because of no roots...i figuered 10 days without water would kill em considering it takes that long to root depending on the situation...thanks for the help tho...ill add some pics in a few minutes if i can get this damn battery to charge for my cam!!!

Yeah mist your plants 1-2 times daily keep your root medium at 70-80 degrees...keep medium moist...........Depending on the strain it can take 1-3 weeks for clones to root....cutting the big fan leafs in half can help cuttings root faster also.....as long as your cuttings stand back up they more than likely will grow roots just be patient....took me 20 days one time....I almost threw the little cuttings away......ohh yeah In my propagation tray i put a thin layer of perlite and sit the rockwool cubes on top.....the perlite mixed with water and dome on and with heating pad creates a really humid environment......works good for me
