I did the same thing. After a 0% success rate the first 5 or 6 times I tried cloning in a clear glass jar of water. At the
3 week mark I got roots! However, I found out that real late rooting clones are not worth growing out. They will always be slow
and small yielders.
If you haven't tried the larger 2-inch jiffy pellets give them a try. I get mine on eBay for about a dime each. The bigger pellets
let you take larger cuttings. The bigger the clone the better chance of rooting.
Also, I didn't have cloning luck until I bought a heat mat for under the dome and learned that clones need 100% humidity. Keep
most of an inch of standing water in the dome at all times. That's where the high humidity comes from. If your dome is not covered
on the inside with condensation every time you check, it should be!
