Well I read this whole thing, was hoping that you did not move the light down, but then it looks like you did???

Clones DO NOT want DIRECT light, what you want is for them to ROOT!

direct light will cause them to try and grow which will cause them to eat themselves, hence the yellowing of leaves

this is why folks cut the bigger leaves, to reduce the plants desire to seek light for growth and focus on root growth

move the lights back up and even better is to put a sheet of computer paper (regular white printer/copy paper) between the light and the clones

18/6 is best, they do want dark time and they want high humidity

best clone tute I have ever read is here
http://www.essortment.com/all/plantsclonesho_rvca.htm
not for MJ but that does not matter

Good Luck

takeing the lid off to water 2-3 times a day,

:bigjoint:
& in there lie's the problem. Leave them alone! They need one spray a day, no more.
I used to do exactly the same thing & wonder why they never rooted! Then i left them alone & voila! You can leave a cutting in a puddle of water & left alone the fucker would root.
As above, Cut back on the light, you want a cool blue light for vegging not a red bulb & defo not hps. You are shooting a fly with a canon there.

well the ones in the jiffy cubes are looking kinda shitty just like my first batch, the ones in the rockwool still look perfect but theyve only been there for a few days, out of my first batch that was 10 clones 3 died and the other 7 are comming back to life 2 are over 12" already, so not tooooo bad for first time i guess :D

try bending the top over and start lst if u want that way they dont get lanky just bushy and keep ur t5 about 2 inch away i do and they seem to enjoy it or throw em into flower but they will stretch again so i wud tie her down and veg hard m8

I was able to veg a ton of clones with 4 23 watt cfls. So many rooted so quick and so well that i had more than i needed for my setup.

Just remember, the clones have been used to alot less light, alot less. So, if you're going to put your well rooted clones under a big ass HPS, make sure you have the light at least 2.5 feet (min) above the plants, to avoid shocking or fying them.
.
Then ease the light down just a inch or two, each day for the first week. Then you can adjust it to a level, where they get good light, but are not overheated. Just hold your hand under the light, just above the tops of your plants. If the light is not too hot on your hand (after one minute), your plants will be OK. If it's too hot, either raise the light or improve air flow in your grow area, to remove the heat.
.
Just ease into it.....& you'll be fine.
