Clones and Hempy Buckets

Want to take some clones and transfer them in 2.5 gallon hempy buckets. Now can I use distiller water? When I transfer them should I have the buckets filled with 2 gallons of water already? Should I nute them lightly right away? Thinking bout going with Lucas formula , Gh Nutes. What is everyones thoughts and experiences with this growing method?

R/O water is what works best for me, and its cheaper if you buy a container and refill it at wal-mart or another grocery store machine.I also use a LIGHT dose of nutes, but less is always more. Not sure what Hempy buckets are( I just reseached it but dont quite understand the purpose), I DWC, and I know that the most important things for me has been to make sure the water levels stay correct. I use individual 5 gal. buckets and the plants REALLY drink water, so I have to make sure that the levels dont get to low and create a toxic ph. Sorry not more help.

Can anyone else help with this? Anyone who has experience with putting clones in hempy buckets?

OK, hempy grower here and I also use 2.5 gal buckets. When you move the clones to the buckets use just water or 1/4 strength nutes. There is no real need to pre fill the bucket with water/nutes because the roots are not at the bottom of the bucket yet. I water new plants twice a day, doing that the water will collect at the bottom of the bucket. Doing this will keep the roots wet until they get to the bottom. I use the GH Maxi series nutes because they are cheap and easy, I get good results with them. I hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks ow Douglas, that helped out. So just transfer into hempy bucket then water? Do u grow in 100% perlite? What are ur typical yields in the 2.5 gallon containers?

If you transfer them into 2.5 gallon buckets, be sure to flower right away . Or Else If you plan to veg your plants for a bit, then put em in a larger 5-7 gallon pot, your plant will grow bigger, stronger, and less likely to go rootbound
