The leaves are mostly yellow, green in the very middle. What does that mean? They have been in peat pucks in an domed tray for around 2 weeks. Maybe they need to be planted? Only a couple have little roots sticking out. Am I waiting to long? Should I wait until I see roots sticking out? They sit in a 1/2 inch of water, is that bad?

Thanks for any help guys, I'm still trying to get this cloning stuff down, heres to you :joint:

Thanks man, the one video I hadn't seen before helped a bit. I think the problem is that i let the peat pucks sit in water and the grow medium is soaked all the time. What do you think about that?

Probably shouldn't use so much water. I've only done clones once, but I just kept them damp in the jiffy pellets (no water in the bottom). I also made a rooting hormone out of willow tree branches, and I had a 100% success rate. Keep them moist but not wet.

roots grow to seek moisture...

If you keep you clone always WET, it may not develop roots at all, as it does not need them...

You gotta keep things DAMP... so the clone shoots out roots looking for more water...

to dry and they dry up... to wet and they will likely rot before shooting roots...

Think damp... not wet and never soaked...

I use RW cubes and water them by weight... always exact.. no guess work...

you can read about it here...

A batch of clones in rockwool

Dont throw them out - get rid of the excess water and see what happens.

If they even have 1 root sticking out - them are GOOD ! Plant em !!!
