Clones from plant that may have been flowering

Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me out. I am a first time grower with some stubborness.

I have a plant in a DWC bucket that has been veggin since april fools day from seed. I don't have a timer yet so I have been turning the light off at night for 6 hours (sometime not everyday). Twice now I have forgotten to turn it back on and the plant had 12 hours of darkness. I recently took two batches of clones from it. They were taken after the light was left off the first time but before my dumbass did it again. Both sets of clones seem to be doing fine, one set in rockwool, and the other set in a bubble cloner.

Now after I took the clones I forgot to turn the lights on a second time. That was about a week or so ago. Now I am seeing what I think are female pistils growing on the mother plant. So I think it think it may be in flower although I still have it on 18-6.

My question is are theses clones useless if they think they are in flower? Is there a way to tell without flowering them? And could these preflower looking things not be hairs and just be new leaves? Also if it is in flower can I just switch my GH nute ratios to full flower right away and put the lights at 12-12, or does it need to be done gradually.

Thank you for your time, and I understand it was negligence that caused this problem.

Thanks

Wow, your guess it probably as pretty good as mine good sire. You said you've been vegging since April Fools day on 18/6? Aren't mother plants supposed to get 24/7?

Ok...I think you have a few questions.

1. Does an erratic (timerless) light schedule significantly affect the plant?

Yes. It absolutely does. You need to pick a schedule and stick to it. Timers are $12. Buy one.

2. Can you take clones from a flowering plant?

Yes you can! It is not ideal, as the hormone balance will be suited for sexual maturity instead of vegetative growth. But they will revert with enough time and the right light schedule. But they'll still grow fine. The later the cutting is taken, the more challenging the clone.

3. Once flowering, can I start with full nutrient ratios?

You should never start with the full fertilizer doses. Start at 25-50% and work up. You want the plants ready for more, not choking on the buildup of excessive nutrient salts.

4. To initiate flowering, can I change the lights directly to a 12-12 schedule or do I need to adjust it gradually?

Most annual tracheophytes (including cannabis) respond better on a hormonal level with a direct change in lighting. Think of it as giving them a harder push.*

*note: Some growers prefer to taper down their light schedule from 24/0 or 18/6 to 12/12 over time. It is uncommon.

I have had it at 24 on for many nights but it was erratic. Thanks for the tip on keeping the schedule the same, I guess I have been just lucky until now.

How long does it take for a plant to show sex once it is in flower?

If it goes into flower, then it is subject to veg lighting times for over a week what will happen?

Sorry for all the questions. What kind of time are we talking about with the clones as far as clones taken from veg cycle and clones taken from a flower plant?

Sorry one more thing.

I haven't changed the situation yet.

Should I flip to flower nutes immediatley maybe 25%. I have always gone under what was recommended until now so it is use to a lower level of nutes (she is an old girl). And I have had her under flourescent cfls for the last 2 months because my mh ballast died. I have a 400watt hps ready to go, can she handle the switch in the state she is in?
