Right, my friend is growing THC bomb. 3 weeks ago I took 2 clones of him. The plant wasn't showing any sex yet, so we were just chancing our arm, whatever; be it a male or female. He had her on the window and the nights are still short. She [his plant] didn't show sex even 2 weeks after I had taken the clones.
Anyway, I put them into my Aerocloner. I ran them 24/0 the 1st week, and then continue to run them on 18/6: because I was using my T5 on the clones that I use for my vegging unit, but my vegging unit was vacant at that time and then wasn't blabla....basically I needed the light back for my vegging unit so I replaced the cloner's light with a lamp. I have to run them on the same cycle because they are in the same room, so either I run both on 18/6 or 24/0. I don't like 24/0 for my veg because I believe that plants do need some dark period (everytime I noticed they are bigger after the night). However, I know 24/0 is better for clones, but tough shit 18/6 it is. Btw in my previous grow (THC bombs actually) I ran them 24/0 in the begginning and then swithed 18/6, in 24/0 they grew very slow.
Anyway, with that out of the way:
So 1 1/2 -- 2 weeks in the cloner they had developed good roots. The leaves were starting to get light green and curling and wilting a little. Btw I had other clones there too, Northern Lights, and they showed the same symptoms. So I was like, okay I need to put them into my vegger 'cos they need food. Even though I was expecting to leave them in the cloner for another week or 2, 'cos it ain't their turn in my vegger (perpetual) yet.
So they are in it, 18/6, and I see that the THC Bombs are show pistils, both of the clones. My other strain clones are okay.
I texted my friend, "Good news mate you got 100% female there." He said, "I know." So his plant must have sexed at the same time as my clones!! Wtf?!
Now I have heard of weird stuff in science where cells of the same organism, slit apart half world away can react instantaneously and identically to external influences. Could we be looking here at something like that, or is it just a coincidence.
They are not Auto's. The reason I know is because I bought the seeds and gave him one.
