My babies are just about 8 weeks old and I want to start flowering them tonight, but I wanted to take 3-4 clones from each of the 8 plants to start a clone/veg room while they're flowering so I have plants to flower when they're done...is it ok to clone them the night before they start flowering? Thanks.

i would give them 2 or 3 days to settle back dow after the shock, more like a week if you can spare the time and manage the height

#3 looks like water got on the leaf and was burned by the light maybe? I wouldn't really worry about it though, doesn't look to be a problem.

you can take clones up to 2 weeks into flower. the sooner the better. it shouldn't hurt to take 3 or 4 now.

You may want to flush them for a few days before taking clones. This reduces the amount of nitrogen which impeds early root formation.

ok thanks for the advice...my other concern is that they'er in 2 gal pots, do they need transplanting before flowering? since they'll be in the same pots for 6-8 more weeks. cheers.

General rule of thumb is 1FT of height = 1 Gallon pot, 2FT of height = 2 Gallon pot. You get the idea. These are MINIMUMS, so you can of course have bigger pots if you like!

should i transplant the females in a few weeks when I know which are which? btw I just started the timer on flowering!!! :hump:

gonna take some clones in the next day or two and then let these babes give me what they've got...and in terms of yield, what can i expect from these girls? any ideas? I've seen in the descriptions of common seed bank sites they have yield for plants at like 128 g etc., so I should get quarter lb per female? I've got 2 white widow x skunk, 3 cali orange x chronic, and 3 jack herer. cheers m8s. :joint: :joint: :joint: :joint: :joint:

I agree with the suggestions of flushing for a few days (2-3) then take clones. Then if at all possible give aweek or recoup time to the plants before forcing flowering stage so as to relieve stress and not cause hermies to become of the plants.I tend to not soil grow in anything smaller then 5 gallon buckets from first day of planting.

Very true. Your method nutrients lighting and care are 90% of what you yield. Some strains are more prone to producing large ammounts of buds and though it is a noticible difference I would rather get a little less and grow the high I am looking to experience. Im big on sativa because I like to do things when Im high (cleaning, trash, video games. I dont work high) but I also like indica strains as a hour before bed sleep aid.
