clones? this is really fuced up WHY? HELP ME!

OKAY so this is fucked up and weird so i have taken four clones like 3 weeks ago used no hormones and i put them in peat pellets in a tank with platic wrap over top and they are doing really good i kept it humid inside fish tank with 24 hours lite i had taken my clones out today and once out of the humid enverment they wilt and fall over i then put them back in the humid area and they rise back to life

so is this really fucked up or what?
how do i take them out of the humid greenhouse envement and in to a reg 40-60 hunidty enverment? with them not wilting and dying

or im i just fucked cause theres no way to take them out and them still to live

does this make sense to anyone

if they don't have roots then they need that humid

okay i saw sum roots but not many i only had one coming out from the side of pellets

I had the same problem. Everything I read said 10-14 days and they'd be rooted. Well they weren't. I dug them out of their pots to check for root and all the has were lil bitty nubs starting. Sooooo I flushed off the rooting hormone powder, put em back in the soil, watered a lil bit to set em back in them back in the dome. About a week later I said to 'em, "if you're gonna be weak ass clones, then die!" and took 'em out. Lo and behold if 5 outta 8 didn't survive after that. Maybe just luck or maybe the moving 'em around promoted them to grow the roots a lil faster. Either way a few weeks later and they're doing just fine

took mine 3 to 4 weeks, then the roots took off, I used the root powder from lowes.
BUT 9 of 9 survived

they wont grow roots if they dont need them so you take them out and force them to root, theyll fall over and then pick back up

You have to harden the plants by exposing them to dry air a bit at a time increasing the time they are out each day. After they harden they will be fine.

Its called shock... They go into that state for a little while, and hopefully they survive it and start straightening back up and behaving like the good little plants they're supposed to be... It's like the guy above said, you have to force them to WANT to grow, so they take root... They wont grow them if they don't need them...

if the lid has little vents on teh top you can open them very little and every so offtin open the vent up more

You can always go 24hrs darkness after removing the dome, then under a light that is plenty far from plants then lower it over a few days. Seems to ease em in a bit better.

My friend had the same problem. He was told to keep the light 30 inches away from the clones after taking them out of the machine. Im not sure if it was 30 inches while in the machine as well, but it literally made the difference and allowed the second batch to live, along with adjust the airflow he had going with fans (closing one airhole on the lid and leaving the other open, on the machine). I know clones are very temperamental, but there is a correct way to do it and they will thrive once you get it down. Sorry, Im working with limited knowledge, Ive never done it myself, and my friend and I are trying to figure it out too (well, he is anyway... Im waiting for him to figure it out and show me ).

lol ya i just take them out till they topple over then put them back in and keep doin\g that and so far all are alive and one no longer need humdty

If your clones are taking longer than 10days to root, they probably aren't being kept warm enough. Use a heating mat and they will root out faster, and its easier to keep your humidity levels up also.
