Clones using the AeroGarden

whats good. My homie got an aerogarden and started clones in it. in 2 weeks the shits look ridiculous! so i got one, and my homie got me clones. I figured 3 wouldn't take up too much space. 1 is Bubblegum, 1 is Hindu Skunk, and 1 is White Widow. They were about 7- 8 inches tall with a couple set of leaves when i first got them, except for the Bubblegum. this one was lookn pretty bad from the get go. I have let it fall down into the water beneath so its roots could get in there, its been maintaining but barely. The Hindu Skunk is the tallest one. that one wasn;t lookn too good a couple days ago, as the leaves were droopy and the stems were purple. this was the first one to really reach its roots out so im guessn it may have sucked up all the nutes. that and i heard u should use half the nutes every 2 weeks, which is 1 tablet (comes with the aerogarden). i used 2 (reccomended with aerogarden for tomatoes etc). I put the other sheet of aluminum and ever since its been lookn way better. it has grown another inch and has lil shoots comin everywhere. only the 2 big leaves look droopy now. The White Widow is a Soldier! this is the strongest one and has been firm and non stop the whole time. I had the light lower earlier too, which messed with the hindu skunk cuz its the tallest plant, but i was trying ti get the white widow and bubble gum to catch up. since then i have raised the light one notch, i think this also helped th ehindu skunk come back. the white widow is reach, now that i have let the bubblegum fall down its gonna take alot for it to reach that light. may the weed force be with it! haha

i will be updating this every other day or so. i have to say this Aerogarden does miracles. deff set the 24 hour lighting for vegging. i am gonna try to flower in this too. half the people i talk to say no, half say yes and have done it. i think i will let them grow another month before i start flowering.

any advice would be great as this is my first real grow. i put the clones in Saturday Jan 31. its been 6 days of them in. I will post photos of my homies plants that have been in the aerogarden for 2 weeks, and they look beautiful!

looks good a li'l bit of nute or light burn maybe you should get other nutes probably and you should think about modifying the light source since ur just using a tiny aerogarden set up

Both of you guys should cover up your hole openings. If light gets into the reservoir it will cause your roots to rot. Believe me, I lost a whole grow because near the end of the grow I set up an auto-drip system into the front flap and left it open. One week later, the roots were rotted and the whole thing was slimy. Also, you don't need to make your roots touch down into the water. The sponge will absorb plenty of water to drip down around the root system if you've got the pump running. This will in-turn force your root system to extend itself and get bigger and stronger. If you dip the whole thing down in the water your gonna get a lazy plant that isn't forcing itself to do much to grow.

good eye ... you do need something to cover the roots use neoprene sleeves and if theyre not available you can cut a pool noodle down to size or some other foam

word thanks guys i forgot about that. i just put the lil plastic things that come with it in the hoes and put black tape over the top so no light can get in.

i might just try to flower in a week or 2, see if that bubblegum can catch up, if not then fuck it and flower. i saw someone else flower at this stage and they got a good amount for so quick. i also heard it is suggested if your gonna try to flower in the aerogarden. if i let them get to big ill need bigger lights for the flowering

Oooh, I like the neoprene idea! I have a cockring made out of that stuff. That stuff is great!

If you're going to use a sponge try to use a sponge with really tiny pores. If you use one that has big pores like a dish sponge, too much moisture will sit in it and get stagnent and then you'll start to smell mold. I've tried the sponge thing before and it just didn't work for me. I don't know, maybe it's just in my neck of the woods. I ended up using jiffy pellets and just reshaping them and taking some of the peat out of them to make room for the roots.
