A clone is exactly what it says, taking a cutting from a mother plant will give you the exaxct same genetics as the mother plant.

Benifits
  • Never have to worry about males ever again
  • Potency of the bud increases with time
  • Again No seeds or males
  • no seeds or males
To Make them

There should be a tutorial in either general marijuana growing or newbie central with pictures but a quick overview is to, get your vegeitating mother plant, and then take a cutting from the plant, put the cutting underwater and then cut a 45 degree angle, stick it in some rockwool and throw it in a humidity tent and wait you will have some rooted clones in no time.

No, you remove your cutting from the mother. You take a couple of inches more than you want and then submerge the cut part, plus a couple of inches, then you make another cut at a 45 degree angle, removing the extra couple of inches you took. Voila! There is your clone, ready to be dipped in rooting powder, or gel or nothing at all!

well..it all started with a sheep called dolly..5 July 1996
LOL!

good question, I was wondering same thing
OMG! Where did you guys dig up this antique?:eyesmoke:

I have always had a problem with the term “mother plant.” To become a mother is to sexually reproduce. Taking clones is not sexual reproduction, it is more like someone donating a kidney so I always felt it would be more accurate for them to be called donor plants.

But that’s just me.

I have always dreamed about outdoor growing, those huge six-footers, you know!!! Does anybody have any info on outdoor cloning for the guerilla grower?

wouldnt it be concidered the mother of the clones since they are the 'offspring' so to say?

it wouldnt be the 'mother' technically as children dont have the exact same genetics as their mother, they also have some of the fathers genetics, so therefore its a direct clone, with only the mothers genetics, like asexual reproduction.

to keep the "mother" alive, just put it under 18+ hours of light per day...this will keep it in a veggatative state. When people switch the light cycle to 12/12, this simply just simulates the changing of the season and "tells " the plant to start flowering. ( just get some cheap CFL and throw the mom under those) As long as you water the "mother" and keep it 18+ hours of light, it shouldn't die.
