Cloning a Top

Is is possible to top your plant, and then clone the top?

I know that sometimes clones have a tough time rooting when they have a lot of leaf substance so I may have to do some cutting...

any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure it won't...i've tried, and i know other's have tried too. There's a reason that we take clones from the branches and not the top.

When i top my plants i top the very new growth so there is nothing realy to make a clone of.

But if u cut lower i guess it could work its a growth tip.

Ya i suppose if you take a long enough cut it will work, but i do the same as you, just cut the very top of it off, with very little growth on it, sometimes i get lucky and get the FIM technique...lol.
