Cloning from a clone

Lets say I started with 8 seeds, took clones from the plants they grew into just before flowering. After sexual characteristics were obvious I discard the males and the clones of the males. So now I'm left with only females flowering and female clones. Now I dont have room to keep a mother plant from these female clones. So my question is, Can I take clones from these clones and then clones from those clones and so on, and still produce the same yeild and potentcy as the original mother that I grew from seed?

Yes I have 3 girls now that are generation 16 and know them inside out.

of course you can do that, some people get into generations above 20

thats crazy... 20 generations of the same plant... amazing

so when is it the best time of the clone's life to get cloned?
while in 12/12? or while 18/6?
