Cloning gel

Is cloning gel absolutely necessary to successfully clone marijuana plants? I'm worried that it might be an unnecessary investment.

It might take a day or two off the time it takes to root, but it pales in comparison to simply having a quality cloning environment.

I use a cheapy powder so that may taint things some. Are my results a great deal better with it? Not really, I agree with phyzic, if they don't like the environment the most expensive goo in the world won't help.

Heck, I just stick mine in a sunleaves starter plug under a humidity dome and some fluoresent tubes. They may take a little longer to root but Im not in a hurry and Ive only had 1 clone die on me so far. Personally I dont get why everyone thinks cloning is so hard and why they spend so much money on cloning gels. My problems are all associated with nutes.
