Cloning in darkness

So I was thinking i have had no success with cloning so i was thinking what about leaving the new cuttings in darkness for the first day or 2 the same as germination process insted of throwing them under a light right away. should i leave them in darkness for the first day then switch the lights on. any feed back would be good i have not tried this its just what i have been thinking since that is how i get my seeds to sprout by leaving them in darkness in some water

Not sure if darkness will work, but you def don't need much light. I use a 26w CFL at about a foot away and it seems to work great. I only do about 10-15 cuttings at a time though.

Never tryed it myself but i would think the cutting would stress out, the best way ive found to take clones is not allow them to notice they have been chopped ... ie pre soaking cloning cubes in a light nute mix such as formulex .... spray the mother plant also with this mix befor taking the cutting chop at a 45 Angle and stick into clone cube within seconds of chopping put the cubes strate into the propergater and leave the light on 24/7 spray the clones daily with rhimozonic for increased roots and you should have rooted clones in 7-14 days

i use a 105 watt cfl 3 feet away also i have my cutting in an ez cloner but no luck on roots maybe its where im taking my cuttings from or something theyve been in for 2 weeks now still no roots but look fine

i use clonex gel and solution my cuttings always stay healthy but never root ive had ones in there for a month at a time looking healthy n bright green no roots pop though
