Cloning late in flower

Hey guys,
Is there anything special I need to do or get to clone plants that are late in flower or is it pretty much the same as cloning a plant in veg but it will just take longer to get back into the veg cycle. I popped a couple seeds before I had a space to cut clones off of the plants before they went in flower and the strains are turning out amazing but the only problem is I don't have anymore of the seeds of the strain. Any help would be huge because I will be making a trip to HTG soon.

Your success rate will dip, depending on how late you are into flowering, so collect some extra cuttings. Other than that nothing else to do differently.

I tried this. It worked, but my clones grew kind of dwarfy. Probably just my technique though. That was my first successful clone session.

You don't have to do anything different, as said above. Clones taken during flower will have squirrelly branching and funky leaves. I clone during end of veg for the same reason you mentioned: you might end up with a kick-ass strain! I heard that it takes longer for a clone taken late in flower to root, compared to clone taken during veg.

I've rooted buds.. after they root they grow braches out of it after a month or so of 24

You could also just do a reveg...cut off almost all the nugs leave some lower growth...flip the plant back to 24 and wait a month for veg growth

True I was just hoping that I could flip one of the clones back to veg long enough to clone it again and hopefully the clone off the clone would turn out better then the flowered clone haha. I guess if there is nothing different to do I just need to do it and see how it turns out haha. Thanks guys

I wish I had a pic. I had this 5 inch tall bush with 6 inch branches sprouting out and flowering when I put it back into flower. The base of the plant just never grew. Looked more like the neighbors poorly kept shrubs It was just ugly and messy, but it did flower..

You are correct!
Day before harvest I took a 1" bud (I have pix) off a 5' Blue Dream and
grew that into a 9' x 9' x 9' super healthy plant. Picture a 9' wide plant or I can
post a picture for you.

When cuttings taken from lower branches late in flower those
branches are more woody and mature that came from a established
root system so it has been told many times that these cuttings grow
more vigorous and can grow bigger then the donor mom.
100% fact. Been there done that and I'm back at it again and again.

That is SWEET! I have a small BD vegging in a cab (2'x2') right now. Debating on when to clone her.

You're good, only thing with these clones is they take longer to root so be patient and a couple of weeks to kick into full veg mode/growth once rooted. Other than that you do get the benefits of crazy branching out with little or no training.

Sounds like you've been experimenting with this method as I have for several months. One thing I'm trying next year for sure is some outdoor monster crop clones, seems like a great fit for guerrilla grows outdoor, no training required, big harvests
