Cloning new mothers

I've been seeing a lot of talk about certain breeders keeping their mothers for however long, but then I read all these stories about how their mothers or they got raided and lost certain mothers forever. I'm new breeding and haven't researched it much but what I'm trying to figure out is if the mother plant grown for seed would produce the same or better basically everything, clones, seeds, flower, and would it effect any of the gene passing or potentially cause mutations or what not, and also could you fever males back to veg after harvesting pollen to keep fresh clones as fathers and mothers. Thanks in advance.

most dont keep mothers for seeding, they keep them to take cuttings from. i prefer not to keep mothersyet i have 11 strains continuously.

I'm not specifically talking about mothers for taking cutting but mothers and fathers for the purpose of breeding.

I don't understand what you are asking, if you could clarify it a little bit I wouldn't care to help you out if I can.

..and yes, you can reveg a male just as easily as you can a female. This helps breeders a lot since pollen usually only stores for a few months before it's no longer usable.
