He knows what he's talking about. I would say don't get too hung up on trimming the leaves though. If anything just kind of clip the tips of SOME of the leaves (lower most), this is what I do and the reason people do this is that it stops those leaves from growing and instead forces the plant to put that energy into popping roots. Remember that more cuts = more places for water to escape = HUMIDITY becomes even MORE important. I've also never ph'd the water I use on clones, although I typically use distilled or well filtered water which is already good. They are down because of the weight of the leaves. After 4 hours, they lost a lot of water and it shows in the rigidity of the stem, so why not making their life easier?
1. Trim these leaves leaving about a finger of foliage.
2. Keep them grouped so they will retain more moisture.
3. Remember to spray them with ph water every 2 hours.
4. You should have a dome and keep the humidity at 80% at least.
5. Your temp should be very mild in high 60 middle 70.
Not too sure about these heating pad unless you're in a freezing climate (then you should move!). I tried to use those and every time, I have a bunch of little worms striving. These worms eat the vascular cambium where the root should start off.heating pad to warm the roots slite higher then ambient-Not that will help with wilt but should come back within a few more hours. ease up on the spritzes fritsez about 3-4 in a 17 hour day.
