Cloning problem

How do you guys get your fresh cuttings to look healthy?

First time cloning.. I just took some cuttings, dipped in water, dipped in clonex, stuck them in coco (packed the coco around the stem), and watered it. I put them outdoors under a humidity dome in the shade.

But after an hour they've drooped and bent over like they're about to die.. is this normal? This only happens to the taller cuttings btw. Am I suppose to trim off everything and leave only the top fan leaves + new growth?

If you just took the clones within the last 1-2 days then yes its totaly normal. They will be humped over for a day or 2. just keep it as humid as u can in that dome. remember tho. spray the dome, not the clones. if u spoil your clones with to much water and to much light, they will try to keep growing instead of rooting. keep up your misting a few times a day and within 2 days they should be standing up.

you should be taking midle aged to older branches for cuttlings, and yes, the bigger the clone u take, the more weight it will have to hold because it will have bigger and heavier leaves. so only leave the top three nodes intact. but cut all the remaining leaves in half.im sure uve seen this done in videos. u want only enough leaf so the plant can drink and stay alive. any more will be to energy consuming and heavy, to little and it cant drink enough to stay alive.
